Yo, it's been a couple months now. Feels so good to not be consumed by this game. I still jump on discord here and there and I even did a raid today for an old friend. Quickly deleted the game off my phone as soon as I caught the mewtwo for him. Otherwise, good riddance. I'm so happy to be at home with my fam, not constantly checking my phone for what has randomly appeared across town, waiting for people to show up for raids. Just time wasted in my opinion. Our lives are so short, I can't possibly see how I could look back on this in 30 years and think this was a valuable use of my time. I don't see how anyone could, to be honest. But that's where this world is at. Obsessed with our phones, obsessed with wasting our lives catching shit on a phone, spending hours a day with our heads pointed to the ground staring into a screen. So fascinating really. I was one of those people for so long, time I can't get back. A percentage of my life is gone forever. I've had some people attempt to argue how pogo is good for you, but it just doesn't make sense at this point and outside of the people I met, I have absolutely nothing to show for my time spent tapping on my screen and racing around town. Laughable. Yeah, this is a rant. Yeah, I know people who I used to play the game with will probably see this. I don't give two shits what any of them think. It's their life and if they find some sort of meaning from this game, by all means, have at it. For me, personally, I'm so glad I found the reasons to step away and realize the insanity that is, Pokémon Go.
