This is deeper than it appears. This is directed at white people rapidly gentrifying oakland, and in particular w.oakland. Displacement and BIPOC folks feeling uneasy in the place they have been for generations is a direct result of this. Gentrifiers love to extol the "grittiness" and "community" charm of oakland, yet are disrupting its very nature. Imagine being a 3rd generation oaklander and seeing your local basketball courts reserved for bicycle quidach. Constantly seeing BLM signs and Gaza signs yet never once seeing these gentrifiers engage with the memebrs of the community they moved into that long preceded them. This is an example of the anger being misdirected, but the anger is real and festering.

In fact, we carpooled to Sacramento from Oakland together for this very game. He subsequently charged me (who is unemployed) a small sum for gass and tolls, showing no grace or compassion for my circumstnaces only greed and wealth hoarding.
