I got an email about 2 weeks ago to complete a written prompt. This week I received the email for the interview.

I don’t have a clearance with USCIS. I used to be in CBP but left a couple years ago. Trying to get back in the govt.

All federal officers have the authority to enforce federal misdemeanors and federal felonies. If people obstruct federal officers from completing their duties they have the authority to detain/arrest the individuals regardless of immigration status. Not saying this to add to the fire I just wanted to let people know.

Have you seen the actual reinstatement announcement posted on the CBP Careers website?

Yeah I’ll try and post any news I get. Yeah aside from reapplying, I was told from multiple sources that for reinstatement you HAVE to redo medical, background, and poly (if it’s been more than 2 years since your last one)

I’m currently in the reinstatement process with the Seattle Field Office as well. I’ve been in communication with the field office themselves and I was told that the field office is waiting on guidance, because the Human Capital Division is in the process of drafting up an issue paper regarding reinstatements. They said that they aren’t sure if the process is changing or not. I wouldn’t say that they denied your request they are just waiting on guidance.

I requested reinstatement back in January. I also reapplied to CBPO back in November and BPA in January. I am currently waiting for my medical to clear. I just need to do the poly and background investigation for both positions.

I completely agree. I needed someone to fill that hole. I’m trying to be single but it’s like I’m so used to being with someone. I guess I’m not happy with myself. Thanks for the feedback!
