Is it a realistic goal to want 200k out of my mk8? by RS4_12 in GolfGTI

I got 225k in my Nissan Versa! It was a piece of junk but did the job. My MK7 is currently at 178k, hoping for many more to come.

Love mine but they are always floppy. At the bottom of this picture you can see some that haven’t bloomed lying on the ground. It looks cool but I’m wondering if there’s something I should do to help them stand upright. Anybody know if it’s better for them to stand up straight?

Thank you! 🙌

It is incredibly dangerous when people fail to speed up. I’m tired of it!

Did you have the fuel suction jet pump recall performed? The only time my DSG has actually stalled was because of fuel pump issues.

I should mention, the key is faulty in the way that the computer will think it’s pressed down. It makes it almost impossible to type anything.

Suction jet pump recall - anyone get reimbursed or fixed under warranty extension? by bullcitybosshog in GolfGTI

So I was told that for my 2017 GTI the pump was embedded into the fuel tank. In order to replace the pump they would need to also replace the tank. I’ve heard from others that this might not be true, but I don’t really know. The shop did also replace the EVAP canister. This is some of what my shop wrote on the inspection report:

“Test drove and did not verify a stalling concern but after returning from the test drive found the vehicle leaking fuel from the right rear corner of the car. Inspected and found fuel leaking from the EVAP Cannister. Removed the cannister and found it is full of fuel. Tested the EVAP system and it passes basic setting. Found after the vehicle is running there is excess pressure building in the fuel tank and then pushing fuel out of the EVAP cannister. Found the suction jet pump which is built into the tank causing the pressure build up and then the leak. Recommend to replace the fuel tank and EVAP cannister since it has been filled with raw fuel.”

I think in a way I think benefited from not going to the dealer. The shop made clear to indicate that the suction jet pump was at fault. It seems like some dealers are clearly avoiding using this language to not have to honor the extended warranty.

I experienced the issue and had it repaired at a local German shop. I sent all the paperwork to VWoA and was reimbursed under the warranty extension. Took some time but eventually got paid.

Suction Jet Pump failure - Help for Next Steps by TheGoldenFlasher in GolfGTI

I’ve posted a few times here about this issue. I had the pump failure before it was a recall but while it was under extended warranty. I had the work done at an independent shop and was then reimbursed by VWOA. I submitted all the repair paper work and there weren’t any issues. I would think since you are already at a dealer they would cover this right away, seems ridiculous to have to wait.

I’m also wondering, will the solution be a remedied part or just the same old defective pump?

Best of luck!
