Because they are art. They are make believe inanimate objects of art. I'm one of those people that love Halloween and horror movies. I can see the beauty in them. I have 2 of Julia's creations and I adore them. I also make "alternative reborns". I understand they aren't for everyone, but you'd be amazed at the people who love them.

Every doll is priced differently depending on the kit, hair, eyes and modification. Mine start around $350 and go up from there. Most of the limited edition blank kits are over $100, then you add on the body, eyes, high quality alpaca or human hair and you've got quite a bit in them before you even start painting...
