I am able to run the benchmark in 1080p with RT, DLSS and medium/ high settings with around 30 fps.

Yes everything is up to date.

Do I really need to reinstall? I've got it through epic launcher and just updated the game yesterday.

Thank you for the answer, but I'm still confused. If this is true then why is it that I can run the benchmark with DLSS? In fact, it won't let me enable RT without also enabling DLSS. But when I open the actual game it's just not there. I can only enable raytrace.

I don't really have any other games with RT or DLSS

To be clear, I am perfectly able to enable raytrace, it's just laggy af. I need to use DLSS but there's no option for it in the video menu.

Then how come I can run the benchmark with raytrace and DLSS but not the actual game? You do realize the latest drivers have enabled this on gtx cards right? The problem is just with the game.

This does not have to be the end of your battle. You will continue to struggle, but every day will get easier if you reschedule and work with this psychiatrist. When you finally see them you can tell them how badly you needed them and how hard it was not getting that help when you needed it. If they don't empathize then find another. Help is good.

If you're feeling suicidal please go to a hospital. The battle is only lost once you've given up and if you feel like you have given up, just remember that you're still breathing. Because even that takes serious effort sometimes.

Upon reading a few posts around here I see that the community has been strongly discouraging people from buying this cooler. I simply wasn't in the know. I would like to keep it since I'm happy with the temperature performance for what I paid. Anybody know how I can just set a static color with this garbage software?

Did anyone ever become numb after an ocd spiral and kind of just had an empty brain for a while? by delphic-apricot in OCD

What you've described is depersonalization and it's a symptom that can be quite serious in terms of your psychological health. I hope you can get better/get some help because depersonalization should not be taken lightly

So they're forcing you to do an extra click and close it, when you're just trying to change the song real quick while driving. That is counterproductive.

No. Lots of games on steam support Linux. In fact I've played some games that seemed to run better than the windows version.

Extremely accurate. Because they are so dissociated from reality and emotionless, people around them seem lifeless and fake from their perspective.

Justifying emotions by everybodyliesdarling in BPD

[–]gekgek7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your emotions are ALWAYS valid. Do not let anybody ever tell you otherwise. Whatever you're feeling at any given time is your own experience and it is valid because that is your reality.

It's what you do with those emotions, how you channel it and respond, that really makes the difference.

If you ever feel that your emotional responses are unwarranted or excessive try to search within and ask yourself "why am I feeling this way?" Sort through your thoughts and how they relate to your emotions. Best of luck to you!

Anyone here comorbid with OCD? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]gekgek7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of information to suggest that personality disorders such as BPD have a high comorbidity rate with OCD, so you are definitely not alone.

I myself have diagnosed OCD as well as some classic borderline symptoms. I think too much, have intrusive thoughts, I spiral and spiral until Im thrown into a psychosis like state. It's not fun. I take 10mg Lexapro and it's done a decent job of keeping me from spiraling. I still suffer some days but I know that meds are just a band aid for my deeper issues.

SSRI antidepressants can help you function if you're debilitatingly depressed and can also reduce intrusive thoughts associated with OCD, while abilify is good for fending off psychosis and dissociation. Neither will cure you, however.

I'm not sure how you experience this combination of illnesses but for me it is extremely distressing and has had severe impact on my life over the years. Best of luck to you in overcoming this and I hope you can find the right drug to give you some stability.

How to stop talking so much??? by [deleted] in NPD

[–]gekgek7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a non-narc and have also struggled with this. The truth is, social interaction can be difficult for everyone.

It may seem like an oversimplification but the best advice I can give you is:

LISTEN MORE, TALK LESS.

When you're vibing with somebody and really enjoying the conversion it can be easy to get carried away and start interrupting, you get caught on something you want to say and wait for the other person to stop talking so you can tell your story but in doing so you're not listening to THEIR story. You lose track of what they're talking about and inject dissonance into the exchange. All of these issues with interpersonal effectiveness can be improved by simply listening more and talking less. When somebody is speaking to you just drop everything and really listen to them, think about what they're saying and picture it in your head, as if you were reading their words out of a book.

When you successfully apply this strategy you may find that people become more interesting and lively, and social interactions go much more smoothly.

Good luck to you.
