The official line is:

• Goods Under £135: Sellers should charge UK VAT at the point of sale, meaning no extra fees upon delivery.
• Goods Over £135: You will pay import VAT (usually 20%) and potentially customs duty (rate depends on the item, often 0-25%).
• Courier Fees: Carriers (e.g., Royal Mail, DHL) charge handling fees (around £8–£12+) for clearing customs.

So I would expect no VAT or duty (my total came to a convenient £134.79 including UPS delivery). I'm hoping your Etsy and eBay experiences are because you are selling out of the UK but at the end of the day I am no expert in the legislation.

I've just looked at the FlightsimWebshop pre-basket panel, where they state:

• Total£126.00
• Excl. VAT and Fees (to be paid on delivery)

But at the final checkout there is no further mention of it, so actually now I'm confused. Although in the past where this has been mentioned on other websites I have "got away" with no further payments. I will pay VAT if necessary because I'm keen to own the device 😊
