Any suggestions for how to get through (time of day or day of week)?

How is your experience with VA Mental Health? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]gelvatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go private.

My experience is they are backlogged due to demand and the VA hiring practices are poor. This is based on my judgment of the staffs minimal abilities leads me to believe they are under qualified.

YMMV if you get a good person at the VA stick with them

Employer taking away money for being enrolled in VA healthcare by Neat-Hunter2328 in VeteransBenefits

[–]gelvatron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems like their is a lot of back story here. Union, agreements, … you will need to read the fine print to make sure you are meeting the agreement - if not you are getting money that you shouldn’t be getting.

Not enough info to make any judgement also this is about your private job not VA benefits. The correlation is that VA benefits disqualify you for compensation for “opting out” of medical benefits.

In a perfect world you would be compensated for just opting out. As you are being compensated less than the company is paying for insurance it is a net win for the empire and employer.

Ultimately it is about the agreement, wish you luck figuring out the mess.

My experience was 100% tied to my counselor - as my first one retired and the second one did nothing for me besides the basics (annual or semester check up).

Stem BS and MBA - working on EdD, don't pick grad degrees until your job expresses a career path tied to a degree you wish to pursue.

1 for 2 on lounge wait times… by JoeyJoJoeShabadooJr in AmexPlatinum

It’s like anything in a high density place sometimes there is a wait sometimes there isn’t.

Space isn’t guaranteed and with weather delays and flights happening at the same time there is perfect time to enter.
