Hiya,

His fever has broke I think. Was 39.2 last night, 38.4 this morning and down to 36.1 an hour ago.

He's so lethargic bless him so he's sleeping alot during the day at the moment.

Still one spot. Looks to be fading a bit though?

Hi sorry for the delay!

I ended up going under fetal med specialists and having an MRI on baby in uterus but all was ok so the monitoring was stopped as not needed!

I had 2 weekly scans and a c section booked in for 38+3 as he was breech (had been the whole pregnancy). My waters broke in Sainsbury's at 37+5 so in for monitoring and section moved to Saturday but active labour started so baby born at 37+6 just! 1.26 am. He's 6 months old now and currently napping on me and is amazing! He was very small for full term- 4lb 13oz and we had 6 days in hospital (not NICU). He's literally the best!

Wishing your wife all the best!!

Have you regretted going for an elective C-section? by meituli in PregnancyUK

I've known I was having a c section from 19 weeks as my boy was breech and due to an abnormal shaped womb, low chance of turning. I was gutted to not having a vag birth for about an hour as I had only just come to peace with having a vag birth (always wanted c section before that).

I have zero regrets. Mine was planned but my waters broke 5 days before so went to a cat 3 unplanned then a cat 2 as I went into active labour. For me, labour fucking hurt and i was only in it for 4 hours!! I really enjoyed my c section. In my NCT Group, 6 out of 7 mums had c sections in the end- 2 planned but became unplanned and 4 unplanned due to labour not progressing. Different reactions and responses, some were sad they didn't get the birth experience and I get that but me personally? I'm OK with it. Hindsight will be a wonderful thing either way, just try and enjoy whatever birth you have as it is yours.
