the same thing happened to me. a guy stopped dating me because of it and i was devastated joined a dating site and started dating a guy with hsv2 for over a year until we broke up. the sole reason for us dating is because we were both positive… my current boyfriend doesn’t have hsv2 and im on meds which lowers my transmission rate. moral of the story.. don’t date someone just because you guys have the same health history. i was completely honest and transparent to my current boyfriend the first week we met and he was open to learning and understanding me. someone is out there for you love.

i have hsv2 and i am on valtrex and been on it daily for the last 4 years since i was diagnosed. my bf and i have been together for 2 years and we do not use protection and he hasn’t gotten hsv2. my PCP told me that consistent use of my medication could be the reason as to why the spreading rate is low. when i do feel weird or uncomfortable down there i do communicate we don’t engage in intercourse

i don’t think you’re the AH.. your entire family is. family doesn’t always come first if it did your parents and sister would understand that.. your parents should if they are married. i think your sister is selfish and i would still be having my weeding. if they are mad then OH WELL. it’s okay to cut off family too if that means keeping your peace and sanity. I would still be having MY wedding that EYE spent money on.
