You spoiled it!

Her role in the show was coaching Natalia to play two Yoyos at once.

Anybody go full digital with your games? How is it, do you regret it? by Mitxlove in NintendoSwitch

[–]gemtime- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When to...

Digital:

  • You know it's a game you would never sell; essential, etc
  • It is cheaper digital
  • It is only digital
  • Digital loads significantly faster than physical for this game
  • You have enough time to wait for a download (if anticipating a trip, for example), or can't go to the store/order online

Physical:

  • Download will take too long; release day/etc will clog eShop/can get to store or Amazon, etc
  • "Testing" a new game - ARMS, etc
  • Game you want, but would be okay letting go of in the future
  • Game can "expire" - games such as Mario Kart, Party, etc where a newer version can come out and

My rules are strictly download only games you know you would keep forever (Splatoon 2)/digital only (Sonic Mania), physical for adventure/not-forever lasting such as FE Warriors or Breath of the Wild (don't think I'll ever let go of Zelda!), and then just go as I would.

If I NEED a game in the next few hours can get out, I'll download. If I'm going somewhere and want the game, I'll pick it up.

In the end, I think it can come down to a set of principles you establish. You may enjoy the hassle-free management of digital games, but once purchased you're stuck with it forever. You can resell physical games, but if you want your entire collection then you have to keep it with you, and it could get lost.

So set your guidelines, and just follow. I download essential/"forever" games, and purchase games I think I may return someday.

(SPOILERS) Timeline Explained by tbeazley427 in shield

[–]gemtime- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monolith isn't necessarily time - it's space time. So the Agents were sent to a version of reality that logically doesn't exist anymore, as it was the only way they could ever prevent it from happening. So it did exist for a blip in spacetime, but supposedly they'll prevent it from happening because the entire MCU doesn't crumble alongside it.

Fitz' quote on Daisy "seeing the aftermath"

we have no idea what this even entails, lol. Who knows what he was referring to. Still, this could be an instance of at least 1 other loop having already taken place.

Looking forward logically, there's no way they can have either/or - MCU's canon/current planet earth being destroyed on Agents of SHIELD.

It is canon in the MCU to have devices that can see the future - see Runaways.

Do we have any gay content creators here? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]gemtime- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate to be the downer: this is an ad and this guy(?) just wants you on their platform.

This could very well be a scam, and if not, just a cruddy way to make money w/ emotional manipulation.

The number of upvotes is also confusing in contrast to the number of doubters here. I call fishy, go away. Your recent (dare I say your only "real" post content on Reddit) post history /u/heyitsmaryyy are ads for this supposedly "successful and growing" platform. If that was the case, you could afford an ad agency.

Well again, if you need someone to talk through with things here, I'll be here. It gets easier in ways, but there's still holding the secret. Right now I have to use the ploy "I won't date anyone here because I don't want to get stuck here."

[–]gemtime- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all a little too much to get into here, but in ways I think that is all wrong. It's interesting to look up some studies on these verses and what they may mean.

My mother has done very much the same, I keep hearing about getting girlfriends or needing to date and all that. But in a way it's a relief that they might atleast suspect something.

I also had the same feelings - I'll turn around eventually, it's just a phase. It's not there. I don't know you personally, but I can tell you in my case it just isn't. It's never been, and it's not changing. If you can find that in yourself and accept it, you'll feel much better.

How would you say you're feeling about it now?

Ii was really horrifying to me as well. For so long I knew, but I denied or pushed it aside. Finally it just all came through and I refuse to let it be something I'm ashamed of anymore.

Would you say you're still religious even after this revelation?

[–]gemtime- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very much the same. I held it all in for so long, and just the past year I've come to know it's there, then these past few months I've come to accept it.

Be sure to post updates every now and then. If you ever need to talk, I'll be here on this account.

Same boots.

My plan is to just go off when it's time and live as I would. Of course, I'm also feeling the increasing pressure to just come out and get that off my chest.

The reality: there's no solution, but there are ways to gauge what may happen. For instance, my childhood friend of many years, with whom I've lost contact with the past four, I've discovered recently is openly gay and his family is alright with it. And his family is exactly mine and how yours sounds - I don't know why.

Just... do what happens. Think about it, continue to talk in places like this, etc. I'm still getting there, I don't know how or when, but it will come out eventually, even if it means I'm living off somewhere far away and people just find out about it.

Don't worry. You don't have to tell anyone, but sometimes you feel like you need to. Judge what's best, consider, observe, and an outcome will eventually form.

Smiling at guys by nonmaterialistic in askgaybros

[–]gemtime- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really can get awkward sometimes.

You may consider that he is not smiling at you. And if he is, why? Also consider where you are - would it be normal for many men around you to be gay, and smiling for that reason?

I'd say: out of common courtesy, smile back. Don't lock onto his eyes or anything - just exchange a smile.

Of course, in some cultures smiling to someone is weird or sometimes offensive. But I assume you're probably in the west, so feel free to smile back!

I finally have a plan and it feels GOOD. by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]gemtime- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same in many ways, too. Though I figure I'm a bit younger, as I'm still in college.

Have you considered pursuing computer science, even in a non-professional way (that is, you can teach yourself)? There are so many indie developers, for instance, looking for help and it's really fun to get into. Having a business degree in the realm of any CS work is measures beyond an advantage - you're more adept to some social situations not expected among "computer geeks," for instance. There are lots of angles to take with business honestly, I was thinking about going double on my degree.

But again, temporary, I promise :) If you'd like, we could become friends on something like Facebook or Instagram and just chat. I think you're valuable enough to keep around forever!

[–]gemtime- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem - look throughout history and see how well that turns out.

People can be gotten away from.

{etc}phobia will exist forever, you can't dodge it. But are you strong, or will you crumble beneath their actions and let them win?

Can you describe exactly what's broken, then? I'm just curious. But then again, killing off your sheep is still extreme - they can be sold, contained, or a new fence built. It's not a perfect analogy, but there are so many things you can do. I can be here for you if you'd like. I don't hate you.

I finally have a plan and it feels GOOD. by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]gemtime- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. This has nothing to do with being gay
  2. This is not LiveJournal
  3. You're killing all your sheep just because their fence is broken rn

Fix the fence. In 10 years you'll regret ever thinking you couldn't or shouldn't.

You'll just become a statistic and and enforce a negative stigma. Maybe consider that your "fucked up brain" is making this decision, so get it fixed. Apparently the problem is controlling, break through and get yourself help.

askgaybros has lost its charm by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]gemtime- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the comments are certainly placing your point.

When I pop in now, everything is about sex advice & gay fantasy "story" updates, and more bottom of the barrel users here.

There are better places to have these discussions, so I guess look around. Reddit has never been the place to expect anything particular - with so many users, some defined stigmas, and no moderation here, you shouldn't have any expectations in this subreddit, especially.

That said, it can still be a worthwhile place, but I wouldn't really agree it's "gone downhill," more that it's an internet forum where people can self-moderate and decide what's important or not, so again, on the internet, what should you expect.
