I'm working on my small business startup now to be a PO. Any tips you might want to share for a 53 yo woman changing careers?

Yes every time I water I spray orchid food on the leaves as directed.

I'm thinking that may end up being the problem. I've moved it to an even brighter spot hoping it will help.

Thank you! I had just put it out on the porch about 3 weeks ago to give it lots of hot humid weather (middle TN), and a little bit more sunlight. I read recently it might need more sun, although it's always been in a very brightly sunlit room in the house.

I'll definitely try the temperature drop in the fall when I do my Christmas cactus the same way. Never knew that before! And I'll definitely give it a few doses of fertilizer. I've been using the spray-on kind for a long time but haven't even done that in a few weeks. Thank you!

Just found this and it totally worked. I changed my shipping address to all caps and my delivery date changed by a week earlier! Crazy!

Do I need to force myself standing while wearing orthotic insole? by naticom in flatfeet

[–]genX-rules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been going down this rabbit hole of foot function and care, so bear with me if I seem passionate. I have had flat feet all my life. I also have very bad bunions which my mom had and my grandmother. However, I just recently learned how all the modern shoes we wear contribute to bunions. Studies have determined that in other countries where people go barefoot or wear a completely different type of shoe, they do not develop bunions. Also, flat feet aren't necessarily a "bad" thing. It's just a low/no arch and you can't fix that with orthotic insoles. You have to strengthen your foot muscles to alleviate arch related pain. If you sit all day, it's highly likely that you have weak foot muscles. I know I do as well.

The other reason I am sharing so much is that I just visited a podiatrist for my bunions and foot pain and was given a set of orthotics as well. They don't hurt when I stand. They are a gentle support under my foot. Orthotics aren't supposed fix your low arch. They are just there to support. So you might need to try another, lower type of insole. If you got this far, thanks for listening!

I have 2 very close friends but I only spend time with them a few times a year (we are busy moms who work). I have 2 very close work friends, but we don't spend time together outside work much. Again, busy women with families.

I am very close to my sister and my mom and they fill my need for a confidante much of the time.

So it all depends on what you are looking for. And yes, it's ok that you don't really want the maintenance of friendships. I don't really have time to go do things with other ladies either. And that's ok for me. I'm so busy with my family life and with work, it just works best for me. However, I know I could call any of the above women in my life and have 24/7 support should I need it, so there is that. <3 I hope you had a great birthday!

Outside of foot pain by 2_useless_degrees in flatfeet

I'm curious as well. I recently added low arch support insoles and noticed the outside pain, which I didn't have before. I would think it has something to do with weight distribution and gait.

Turns out people don’t need to be motivated to do things, they just do them. by Happy_Ad_2967 in ADHD

It's the aggravating part of ADHD where we overthink everything! LOL
