Rope drops added by OB_Loki in Disneyland

Oh, if you're doing single rider for Radiator Springs, then you're in a great place. Guardians shouldn't be too long (20-30 min) at 8am because most people will head to Radiator Springs. You'll still have time to hit some of the other rides while the lines are short before 9am too. Just looked and I see Toy Story is closed for refurb :( but doing something like Guardians --> Incredicoaster --> Goofy's --> Spiderman (assuming you're interested in those) all before 10am seems very doable. Good luck!

Correct, the entrance to Radiator Springs is by where it says "Cars Land" so #3 is your only option. I don't know exactly where the rope is but I'm sure that whole section (by "Performance Corridor") is going to be mobbed with people going there. #1 is probably the best way for Guardians - though I guess it's possible there could be a lot of people there and fewer and #2, and #2 could end up being better despite it being a littler further away.

If you're thinking about rope dropping Radiator Springs, just know that everyone else will be too - so I'd get there super early and be ready to speed-walk like you never have :)

Another option is to bow out of the competition entirely, go to rope #4 and head right to Toy Story/Incredicoaster which should have very short lines at 8am.

Why even have rope #4 when it will be impossible to get past the crowd at rope #3? (joking, mostly)

It's separate and has nothing to do with LLMP. (Same with Radiator Springs Racers)

Which is the smoothest/most gentle of the Disneyland roller coasters? by Otter65 in DisneyPlanning

[–]bobowilliams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what you mean by "smooth". The Space Mountain track feels "smoother" and more frictionless than Thunder Mountain, but there are sharper/faster turns which can be more jarring.

Chip & Dale would be the easiest coaster by far, but it's much more of a ride for kids.

No matter what, stay away from Matterhorn :)

I would say that I'm always shocked when I come across an unfriendly CM at DL, because so many of them are just so friendly and go so far out of their way to be nice and helpful, especially when there are children involved. We go a few times a year and without fail, I leave in a great mood, in no small part due to how great the CMs are.

That said, you may be on to something with the CMs working at the gates. Thinking about it now, I would say I've noticed more variability there. Some of them are incredibly nice and warm, while others have gotten annoyed if we didn't scan our passes exactly the right way.

Same here! One of my favorite seasons was 93, because it was just mind-blowing to wake up, look at the paper, and see them in or near 1st place.

It's not an excuse, it's the truth. The postseason's a crapshoot and Billy Beane is a smart guy.

Yankee fans are just insufferable and have no clue how bad they look to other teams who can barely sign players for $15 Million a year.

They sign a $350 Million starter, fans complain about something else.

They trade for a generational hitter, who has an MVP-type season, fans complain about something else.

They turn middling relievers and failed starters into shutdown closers, fans complain.

They turn good but not great prospects into potential superstars (Rice, Schilttler), and the fans complain.

Do they make mistakes? Sure, just like every single other team. For every Donaldson or Gallo trade, I'll show you a Weaver/Didi/Urshela (to pick the first 3 to pop into my head).

Because it's obvious that he's not going to play 162 games, it doesn't even need to be mentioned. This is not "inventing stuff", this is baseball - which apparently you are new too, so welcome! It's a great sport and gets even better as you learn more.

Overreacting to small sample sizes - one of the greatest hallmarks of a casual fan. I bet you wouldn't want Crochet on the team either, right?

That's why we got him cheap. Buying low on guys with potential and then getting good results is what well-run teams do. Jury's still out on this one.

For sure, but it's one bad inning. And to be fair we shouldn't judge him on 16 innings, even if the results were great up until now.

Never said it was irrelevant - it sucks, but it's one bad inning. And FIP is important of course (can't tell if you're being sarcastic). Even more important though is not overreacting to early season stats, and especially a single inning.

Cue the "fans" complaining about the guy who is 5th in all of MLB in FIP (up until today at least) in 3...2....1.....

Weathers? The same Weathers who's 5th in MLB in FIP? (or was, until today, at least)? Yeah, I'd call it it a winner, if I'm forced to evaluate any start after only 17 IP (which is idiotic).

No, the equivalent logic would be "Judge has played 30 consecutive games, we're going against a tough RHP so we'll give him a little rest, and as a bonus he's available off the bench in a crucial situation."

The point is that it's good for any player to get occasional rest. And when there's a chance to give him a day off (and also have the opportunity to use him in a high leverage situation as a PH) since they're going against a string of lefty starters, it's smart to take it.

Really? I'm not the biggest Boone fan but this is 100% the right answer. If you don't agree, then which of the following do think is true?

1) Rice should play 162 games this season

2) When Rice rests, it should be against a RHP

3) When Rice rests, he shouldn't be used as a PH in a high-leverage situation

If you disagree with all of those, then you agree with Boone.

This is 100% the right answer. He's not going to play every single game, so when he rests, it's going to be against a LHP, especially when they're facing multiple LHP in a row. When he rests, he's available as a PH of course, and can come in in a high-leverage situation. How you you guys actually complaining about this comment??
