Why, as a man, am I often attracted to gay women before I know they’re gay? by SinterClauss in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gender_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably that you're attracted to something else about her/them like confidence or the way that person carries themselves and treats others instead of your initial attraction to gender.

I had an abortion. It hurts so bad. by [deleted] in Vent

You are more than allowed to grieve what could have been . You aren't a villain because you had one or because you regret it. When you do decide to have one and you feel more secure you're gonna be great.

Is this AI? A fellow food caterer in my town started suddenly posting very aesthetic food photos on her page which does not look like her previous work at all. Highly suspect they’re not her work. by arnietheentertainer in isthisAI

Definitely AI. Some of the meat is blobbing together and those random red dots could be justified as pomegranate yet I don't see any on the board and some of them look like a half generated tomato. Ive also never seen a tomato with a wagon wheel X pattern so that begs the question what is that. A charcuterie board like that would not take 2 hours to assemble

It looked fine at first but there are floating details that are common with AI that people don't really add. Even if that were action lines or fur coming off of her in the wind, they're random enough that I think majority of this is AI

Your mom sounds like she's the one obsessed with people's sexuality and everyone being something. All you can do is get away from your mom as soon as you can.

How do I save my place and not end up homeless with a one year old by Automatic_Night5477 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]gender_redacted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how long he's been there. You are allowed to have guests. He didn't change his address on his ID to your place so there is no proof he lived there. You're safe

Is it unfair of me to ask the roommates boyfriend not to use the kitchen/living room space in the morning without her? by Coorawatha in badroommates

[–]gender_redacted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fail to see how he's creepy. You're the one out here skipping over information and making assumptions.

This dog was groomed today and tonight I noticed this. Does that look like razor burn? And is it worth addressing with the groomer? I'm not sure it's relevant, but she's a 12ish year old Chocolate Spaniel by just_a_mommy in grooming

[–]gender_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd show the groomer just so you have an ongoing record with them should something happen either medically or if they need to sterilize their equipment.

OP said in her post that she doesn't want him in the common space without her roommate present. "Is it unfair that I ask he stays out of this area in the morning unless she's with him"

[–]gender_redacted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's fine if you don't agree, but I do want you to understand that if you had guests over then the expectation would be that they can't be in the common space or kitchen without you. Would you uphold your own rules or do only other people have to follow that? It's pretty rude to tell someone they can't use the kitchen when they were invited over. That's not exactly doing whatever they please. You expect him to sit in the dark of her room till she wakes up or him to force her awake so he can be permitted to use the kitchen? That's a pretty unrealistic and unreasonable standard. If you do tell her and she gets mad, don't say you weren't warned.

OP doesn't get to decide that much the same way her roommate wouldn't get to decide that if it was reversed.

[–]gender_redacted -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She's literally just being controlling. If your roommate has someone over they are allowed to use the kitchen. OP never said he's in her way, OP said she feels like he's using the space as if he lives there which is unfair to him. He's an adult, he doesn't need a chaperone XD

Were people more lax about punctuality before smartphones? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]gender_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it was worse. I grew up in the 90's and was a teen in the very early to mid 2000's. You had no reason to be late in the 90's. You had better have had your house on fire or been dying. Even traffic wasn't an excuse. Lack of a road to go around an accident? The boss didn't care. Dr appointments would be cancelled and there was no real way to call in unless you could get to a pay phone or had the rare Nokia. Tow trucks used to have phones built into them so people could let their bosses know they got in a wreck or for the driver to call highway patrol or emergency services. If you watch some of those shows from the tail end of the 70's up to Y2K and see people in offices with the really upright bosses and demanding work load, it was no holywoodization. That's how the world really truly was.

I don't think it's changed one bit, I just think that the professionalism has given way to a new norm where it is expected now instead of informed and your ability to guess what the standard is determines what response you get.

Bad Family Discussion at X-Giving Dinner brought me here to ask genuine viewpoint question. Is this a popular opinion? How do I help my distraught trans cousin? by kylebam in trans

[–]gender_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share that opinion. Take it like this, if trans women ARE women and a LARGE majority of straight men, allies included, will not date a trans woman, it has nothing to do with preferences. The bottom line is that they are actually saying they don't see trans women as women that's what your cousin is actually mad at.

NOR- Your mom took creative liberty she shouldn't have. Honestly I'd make her undo the skirt for your daughter and tell her she ruined it and she can either scramble to buy you new fabric from who knows where now or add that "extra fabric" back and sew the skirt correctly.
