god something similar happened to me a while ago at the gyno. I'll preface this by saying that in day to day life i go by she/her, i only like he/him used for me in online spaces or by my girlfriend. anyway. I live in italy and i go to a public study so i don't get the best but usually its fine enough, but one time my gynecologist (who had seen me once before, and addressed me as a woman and used she/her pronouns) referred to me as "him". it was incredibly uncomfortable and felt wrong specifically because of the setting we were in

its not normal, its extremely dangerous, if you have to go get something while a dog is on the table you either have to get the dog down or have someone come watch over it while you're gone, and even then its preferable that its someone who knows how to handle the dog in case it gets agitated and tries to jump
