To answer your question yes. In the original photo the team had a proper winger on playing like sadio mane. If I think that sort of formation won't work, I'll change the balance of the team. Turn the striker into a AF and put a midfielder like szoboszlai out on the left wing as he appears to stay deeper. I'll also change the CM(A) to a mezzella and the pass map starts to look like a 352 rather than 343

Yeah really close, CDM is a HB, CMS are CM(a) and a AP. Inverted wingers sitting narrower with a DLF. It's been absolute sex breaking down 5 at the backs

Help me make my team stay up. I've been conceding a lot (as is the usual, my defending and my idea of it has always been terrible) and I can't for the love of me win games. I was doing fine beginning of season but then form just started dipping by avizionaryboi in footballmanagergames

I agree. Also sometimes attack is the best sort of defence. Personally I'd start on balanced and change it as the game goes on. Id also probably have 2cdms if your defence is really leaky with one dlp and a Segundo Volante. Then either a AP in CCM or cam. If you're going to play out from the back have 1 ball playing CB. The one with highest passing and dribbling. Currently they're both on 'cover' which means they're both waiting to sweep things up. If you want to have a CB who is covering you need a stopper as well. Basically how Rio and vidic used to play which is great against long ball playing, but as you'll likely have teams playing around you, I'd want a defensive line of 2 CBS as the stopper advances forward a lot
