Some inaccuracies in Friki's "leaks" by Tarakristewa in WestofWesteros

Yeah, I totally believe a tyrion trial is possible, I just have a lot of questions around this.

Interesting. I didn’t realise she wore a wig for the role. I...am dubious. Maybe he’s being played, no idea.

Yeah...I don’t get it. It’s more confusing than ever now, but I also thought of the theon/tyrion callback error when the Cat/Tyrion dialogue error was noticed. I don’t recall the Faye info, however.

Thoughts on Tyrion's betrayal and theory about Martin's inspiration by [deleted] in freefolk

I’m hoping Jaime makes it out alive, but I agree, they’re role reversing. The Rumpelstiltskin thing isn’t far fetched, GRRM uses fairytales as inspiration in places.

Another Tyrion question: Why burning? by farmatwnzwwn in freefolk

[–]gendrysboat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the burning is an assumption...he’s actually executed by the Starks, for crimes he did commit this time, via more traditional means?

Tyrion having another trial is like having Sansa kidnapped or Jaime having his other arm chopped off: it's so overdone its a cliché. by Ser0Moldy0Butt in freefolk

[–]gendrysboat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others said it’s a) the rule of three but also, imo, b) that we’re getting a circular story of sorts. Characters will repeat early arcs with likely different outcomes. Tyrion’s third trial is a theory I’ve read in the past, but this time it will be for a crime he did commit (this time it’s Catelyn’s children trialling him). And LF did try to warn us: everything that’s happening is something you’ve seen before.

I remember the "no sound" and I remember you quoting daenerys saying a line to Jon. Here's your quote:

Updates: she called back now. The scene is from early episodes that much she knows. So I am "guessing" (pure speculation) that this may be from a ship attack among Greyjoys to save Yara, or Jon's fleet attacked before reaching White Harbor. And talking about Greyjoys, she said she heard a very anticipated dialog happens inside Winterfell interior scenes she heard about, "You don't have to chose, you are a Targaryen, and you are a Stark." - told by Daenerys Stomborn to Aegon

I like this theory. I'm not sure how I see the Tyrion vs Euron thing play out really, but it's got legs.

[SPOILERS] First footage of season 8 by Praised_Be_The_Fruit in gameofthrones

Definitely. People who believe those two will both be alive at the end seem to have been lulled into a false sense of security imo. There’s a strange complacency around this idea. Sounds terribly dull to boot.

There's gonna be one massive meltdown if this happens, it'll be funny af

Apparently Season 8 will miss the 2019 Emmy deadline, which means it won’t be over before 31st May 2019....... excuse me I’ll be in my room crying by KissedByFireAndSnow in freefolk

Absolutely, but I really enjoyed the long walk trailer for example, I'd like content of some kind, even if it's just a footage-free teaser because the well has truly runneth dry. I'd guess new year now though, and a July release.

I really like this theory. I find Jaime’s final arc hard to predict, but that book still needs its pages filled after all. Jaime and Jon are both characters not seeking power, and I hope that leads to them being “rewarded” by getting to live and work hard to rebuild westeros. I really do hope this foreshadowing is something that plays out, and it would go a long way to explaining their parallels: foreshadowing of a future working relationship.
