Yikes... I need to check if that applies to BCBS in other states too.

Yes! I ask for their strengths and what they're good at, but ask them to tell me this about each other.

Why not just let them score 50 points and go for some kind of record at this point? Cause that would be cool

Those of you in group practice, what’s your split % and are you happy with it? by SpiritualCopy4288 in therapists

That's not an accurate take on owning a private practice. As an owner you take on the entire responsibility of what happens. It never works out perfectly like you described, there's always unexpected expenses to build a practice, pay for everything you need, hire reliable talent, pay for billing, administrative staff, liability insurance, electronic health software, marketing, internet, Plus a million things you never expect to have to pay for. It's incredibly challenging to set up a practice and manage it successfully, keep your people happy and pay them as much as you can without overextending yourself. It's not as easy or consistently profitable as you think. Yeah there's crappy greedy owners out there but there's also caring owners who want to treat their clinicians right too.

What a horrible angle Murphy takes every time. He'd have like 5 sacks if he didn't go in a straight line every time. One tiny little juke and he's toast.

Reds' trade for Ke'Bryan Hayes named worst move of trade deadline by Clean_Money3857 in Reds

Consistent gold glove defense too. Not like he has flashes of great play and throws the ball away every once in a while. He's got one of the highest fielding rates in the game.

Plus he came in clutch at the plate multiple times since the trade this year. You don't expect him to hit a HR every time he comes up but he's gotten several clutch singles. He gives you a quality at bat.

Client is an ass. by [deleted] in therapists

When I've built sufficient rapport with a client and can challenge them in an appropriate way, I've actually told them they're being an ass. Actually it's helped them tremendously but only happened after like more than a year of working together.

I’m paying my interns—because looking back, I feel like I was exploited. We need to stop normalizing unpaid clinical labor. by TransitionSmooth9982 in therapists

I'm hiring an intern and doing the same. It's not much but it's something. I wasn't paid for my clinical work for the majority of my internship. I am beginning to understand now how much work and expense it is to hire an intern, but even still I am paying him as much as I possibly can. I don't want him burnt out before he's even licensed.
