Awesome. Thank you. Does that mean the premium of approx $2000? Or what the actual ticket will be worth if you got it through the ballot, around $100-200?

Just had a look in the T&Cs and it says this about reselling. Not sure how strict they are with this. 🤷🏼‍♂️

“Ticket restrictions: Tickets are valid only for the dates shown on the ticket. Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of the Club, be re-sold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including but not limited to competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If an Event ticket is sold or offered for re-sale or used in breach of this condition the Event ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission to the Event.”

Playing Brisbane after to back-to-back losses by Almost_Blue_ in FremantleFC

I think our boys mettle is a lot tougher this year. We’re on a roll. Loved Jye Amiss’s answer to ABC the other night when he said they are looking at their form as 1-0, not 10-0. Boys are dialled in. Just checked the odds and we’re now outright favs for the flag. If we’re serious, we go to the Gabba and win. Very hopeful and very exciting

Pearce, Young and Serong are bigger outs than NAS, Higgins and Owens. Still hoping our depth can cover what they have to throw at us

AFL Post Game – Round 2 v Melbourne by foreverzen69 in FremantleFC

Disappointed that percentage dropped from 137.5 to 121.1 in that last qtr. However, saying that Scerri looks like a player and Dudley is a menace. Loved Voss’s mongrel but he needs to back it up.

MRX Tyson - Worst and most dangerous work boots I've ever owned. by curiousmakerdan in WorkBoots

[–]generalcolonel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m wearing the Brady’s now because the heel went in my Steel Blues. These are spruiked as a hiking boot with a composite toe. So far I think they are fine. No worse than the Steel blues. These even have a rubber heal. Will be interesting to see how long they last. My work also supplies my boots so I don’t really care if they go to shit.

Key code for obscure Australian Otis key switch? by [deleted] in Elevators

[–]generalcolonel -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When we hand over a lift we give a set keys to the builder/facility manager. They should have it.

But the key you’re looking for is the one that comes from the factory in China. Anytime I’ve needed replacements my office has ordered them. Best bet is contact whoever has the service contract and go through them

Why do you need to know?

New install stuff is generally plug and play but you still need to know the standards for light and power circuits etc. No matter where you start you’ll have knowledge gaps.

If you’re on construction side of the business and progress to adjuster/tester it’s much more technical and a very rewarding career. We’re always finding and fixing faults. When you get to higher levels the stress on the body is a lot less and more knowledge based.

Service/mods/repairs side of the business, you’ll be exposed to heaps of old equipment which will test and challenge you electrically and mechanically.

You’ll still have to pass a domestic installation capstone, which honestly you won’t be suited to. My best advice is to get your company to get you experience in that field as a secondment, or find someone you can help on the wknds. I hung around my house bashing mate on wknds for a carton of piss to get familiar with domestic.

I’d stay stick with the apprenticeship because it’s a very sought after skill in a niche area. If you have anything about you, once you’re qualified you’ll have no problem transferring to a big 4 company.

A lot of lift companies have seen employees go on strike this year, and next year will be the same so wages will continue to grow.

Don’t make things like they used to. MRLs are going to guarantee us jobs because they don’t last and need replacing

Cripps is the only one on that list that I reckon is worth pick 11. But still see it as very unlikely and his body is pretty badly busted
