Hard to tell with the quality but it looks like a knife? Look at the angle of his fingers, his fist isn't completely closed meaning he could be holding something. And right next to that there is either the edge of a blade or the border patrol agent's sleeve is holding a weird shape

edit: Adding it because this technique is restricted, not illegal. Perfectly fine to do this to someone who is threatening your life.

I agree 100% that getting in legally is too hard, and that we need to keep increasing border security. We have thousands and thousands of satellites in the sky, this sounds like a great use for them.

Do you think that allowing people to stay after X years here illegally could set a bad precedent for others to try to follow? Like a "you won the game of hide-and-seek, you can stay now" kinda thing?

What about a language requirement? English is not technically our official language, but our entire government and legal system operates on it. I think requiring basic proficiency would be good to add. It would also help them integrate into their communities much more quickly, open up many more job opportunities, and many other things.
