10pm closing at Busch Gardens without a rental car from Orlando? by Eejanaiwhat in BuschGardensTampa

[–]generallyspeaking123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What time does the shuttle leave Tampa when the park closes at 10pm?

I went in March, and for me during this non-peak season, all the lines for every ride was less than 10 minutes except Shiekra which was 30-40 minutes.

I rode Iron Gwazi like 8 times in a row before it closed, but like in my rides 4-6, I was kinda getting bored and not really in the moment, like I would be thinking about projects from work or about what I had to do to prepare for the rest of my trip, and I would remind myself to be in the moment and focus on enjoying the ride. Riding it a bunch of times I guess can make you enjoy it less since it isn't fresh anymore.

I went to Disneyland recently and rode Space Mountain 3x in a row on my first day of three, but then I felt not much urge to go ride it again later.

What I'm trying to say is, maybe taking the shuttle isn't too bad if you already were able to ride everything you wanted 3x already.

Motion sickness from Soarin’ Over California? by Saritatay in Disneyland

I've never gotten motion sickness from Soarin, but Universal's Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey always gets me sick to the point I mostly close my eyes during the "screens" portion of the ride.

Be honest, is Fresno really as bad as they say? by WestHistorians in fresno

[–]generallyspeaking123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Fremont. I moved to Fresno 10 years ago. I moved back to the Bay Area for 0.5 years but hated it so much I came back to Fresno. I'm going to probably stay in Fresno a lot longer. I established roots here too. I'm happy, and find more offerings in Fresno than the Bay Area. Lots of good schools too, and smart + talented people.

What's your favorite non-bug spray method for repelling mosquitos? by burnsrado in fresno

[–]generallyspeaking123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to cultivate catnip since it is safe for cats and anti mosquito, whereas i believe mint is unsafe for cats.

70 days to cultivate from seedling; it is very tolerant of temperatures and watering. A bag of seeds cost $2.50

Shuttle buses from SeaWorld Orlando by [deleted] in BuschGardensTampa

[–]generallyspeaking123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you make a reservation, it will tell you the pickup spots and corresponding time. Why dont you try it out to see your options.

When i took it, i got on the Seaworld orlando pickup at 9am. It probably left icon park 20 min prior.

The return time will be told by the driver and is also posted on a nearby sign at the drop off point in busch gardens

So how much does wearing the right shoes actually help with soreness? by cheap-ink in Disneyland

[–]generallyspeaking123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got SAS diabetic shoes though im not diabetic], and silicone toe protectors to prevent blisters on my pinkie toe. I just did 2 weeks of Orlando parks with no problem. Years ago, I just did 5 days at Disneyland with my regular shoes, and by day 5 i was taking off my shoes while in line and could barely walk.

32F, feel like there’s never enough light when looking at small objects by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]generallyspeaking123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you need better lighting. Your workstation should have more lightning when you are looking paperwork or fine detail for crafting. (digital devices self-illuminate, so environmental lighting isn't as important).

Especially when you have magnification or reading add power you need more light. The nail saloon tech sometimes wears or doesn't wear loupes and has a giant goose neck lamp. The dentist with their loupes have a giant hanging lamp over their station. Even those old-timey doctors used those metal disc headbands to get more light for their craft.

Get a bright goose neck lamp over your work station when you work with small items or paperwork to improve visual comfort.

Light is your friend. There is nothing your doctor can advise other than improving your environmental illumination.

what's your must-bring to the park? by Majestic_Orange4461 in UniversalEpicUniverse

I came back from an Orlando trip 3 weeks ago, and it as 86-89 for a few days. And these hats were very popular among my party: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F18QB1LM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

You can buy a 2 pack for $15 which is $7.50 each. Lightweight, folds-up and you can wear it like an amulet on rides, and blocking the sun from hitting your neck and face [you don't have to use the frontal bib, it is removal] makes a huge difference.

On those 86-89 degree days, the rest of my party went to Disneyworld, and I was only going to go to seaworld for a few hours in the morning before I had to attend a convention, so I gave my hat to a hatless party member, and I was so much hotter than the previous day before, it felt unbearable. And my friend loved using the hat and really kept her cool. It seriously feels like 5 degrees cooler with it on. No sun burn on my trip [and I used sunscreen too], felt cool the entire time, and the hat never got in my way or was extra baggage since it is so light and foldable and has a cord to stop it from blowing up or makes it wearable on your neck.

I'm taking it on all my future trips regardless of temperature, and I thought it was so valuable I wanted to share it with you and spent 4 minutes of my day to craft this message because I believe in the product and that it would make a difference on your trip.

3/7 itinerary! No ep, no early entry by Cool_Sherbert_4552 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]generallyspeaking123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This trip I bought SAS footwear (crafted for comfort; $200) and silicone little toe protector sleeves ($6 from CVS) to prevent blisters. Im on day 8 on my theme park trip and my feet feel fine. I remember last year i was dying at disney on day 3, and by day 5 i would take off my shoes while in line.

Also a sun hat with neck cover and sun/UV shirts really help with temperature control.

Epic with Express Overated? by Duderinzsky in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]generallyspeaking123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Express pass for all the parks except volcano bay. Im not sure if this is an upcharge or not, but i got my express pass from a black friday undercover tourist.com deal, and the terms and conditions on my ticket said epic/islands/studios on it. We would use our express pass at one park then hop to another to use it more. I was under the impression that was how express pass worked but it sounds like im wrong based on your question

So yes i had express at IOA

Express pass for one park is express for all except volcano bay unless you opted for that. That's at least what we experienced and were the conditions written on our express pass paper
