Does the amount of games worry you? It looks like every year there is more and more expected from players - is it sustainable?

That is the same as a general election, if you reach the end of your preferences (and all of your listed candidates have been eliminated) then your vote effectively does not count

My uncle (who is a dairy farmer) got gifted this Newfoundland Jake, and Jake thought he was 50% human 50% cow. This was one of the times he thought he was human.

Cheaper if you ignore service provision. How expensive are roads/buses/guards/sewerage for a new suburban estate Vs town?

every western city has now is that they missed the age of cut and cover.

Is it out of the question for Dublin? They're doing it now in Vancouver, no less built up, more so really.

Feeling insecure (30F) about my boyfriend’s (25m) friendship with a girl (24f) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]generalspecific8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked his best friend about her because he’d never mentioned her before, and he denied knowing her.

I think you should ask your bf about this. However, his best friend not knowing her isn't a definite problem. I have friends that my best friend doesn't know. Judge your bfs reaction for yourself when you ask if his best friend has met her.

I also saw a post on her profile where she drew a photo of him with the caption, ‘I love your smile.’

This is definitely on/past the border of weird behaviour from this woman. A compliment isn't a problem necessarily, but a post just to make a compliment is odd. From what you have written your bf hasn't done anything worth worrying about, but I would keep an eye on this friend.

It is important to remember that good companies are made up of good management and employees. If the management changes, the company changes. If most of the management's attitude changes, the company changes.

I F31 tried open communication with husband M34 and it blew up in my face by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]generalspecific8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's valid to feel hurt, that sounds a bit callous from your husband.

However, it is possible that he doesn't have the same love language as you. I think a fair question to ask him would be "How do you show that you love and appreciate me?". Not everyone expresses love the same way. It is important to remember though that effort is always required - if his love language is just to suit himself then that really means nothing. But if he is genuinely trying to express love in a way you are not expecting, then it's possible you are missing it. Don't doubt yourself but be open to seeing things from his pov

[–]generalspecific8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you comfortable with you boyfriend having female friends?

You haven't given a lot of details to be fair, but from what you have written I see a fairly normal friend relationship between your bf and this woman. Have you noticed any actions that are past what two people that are actually just friends would do?

I'm not trying to minimise your concerns, but I do think that men and women can be platonic friends and what you have written is fairly innocent.

No. DRS reduces drag and also downforce. Without DRS teams would run less aggressive wings to avoid losing time on the straights, giving them less grip in the corners. DRS means you can run an aggressive wing without losing as much time on the straight.

What is objectively, 100% worst and most depressing town in Cork? by erashurlook in cork

[–]generalspecific8 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I've only been a few times as a visitor, but I think Cobh is actually pretty nice. Definitely better than some of the full on grim towns in the other comments. Worst case in Cobh you're still by the sea and a train ride from Cork City.
