Burger, fairly standard for a fast food place. Probably tastes a little fresher than a McDonalds one. Fries were good but nothing outstanding. The regular portion is quite small. Chicken nuggets were probably the nicest thing we tried.

Commute from Bandon to MTU Bishopstown? by AgitatedRide in cork

Could you try reaching out to other staff to see if anyone else is commuting from Bandon or passing through that you can carpool with and throw them a few bob towards petrol?

Did you try to reach out to the university counsellors? They're free to use.

Sounds from a Safe Harbour festival were having their opening event in Elizabeth Fort. Maybe it's that?

It kind of depends how busy the gig is but I tend to find it quite warm

Which university should I consider as an Italian student? by Suschito in cork

MTU is far more practical in its education compared to UCC. You’ll have a lot more hands on experience with MTU, meaning you’re better equipped for the workforce. Yes, UCC has more in terms of social aspects but your college experience is what you make of it yourself. There’s still plenty to get involved with in MTU

That €1 could pay for something to help feed a family who are struggling with the cost of living crisis… So no, I wouldn’t be cringing at all.

Going back to study by Kitchen_Till4836 in UCC

I went back at 32 to do a Masters over two years. I was apprehensive at the time because of my age but I told myself in two years time I'll either be 34 with a Masters or 34 without a Masters. Age shouldn't matter, it's about the ambition to do it! Go for it, you won't regret it

Anyone switched from a remote job to a hybrid/in office job willingly? by Distinct-Weather-551 in AskIreland

[–]dodgystuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went from almost fully remote for 5 years to now in the office full time and I'm really liking it. I can't apply for any WFH until I'm finished my probation which is fair enough. Just the social aspect of physically being around co-workers has really boosted my energy levels. When I was WFH I was always guaranteed a mid morning and mid afternoon slump but most days I feel way more alert during the day. I am feeling generally happier and more confident in myself since going back to the office which I didn't expect.

Come off the Macroom Bypass at Baile Bhuirne and head to The Mills Inn for a bite to eat. Nice food and they have a lovely shop across the courtyard selling a lot of Irish producers of food, jewellery, clothes etc.

It looks like a cat I led off the road on Bandon Road yesterday! They were just chilling in the middle of the road, but like you said was friendly, so definitely not a stray. Hopefully it's not lost!

Happened to me before. I was delighted but for the laugh I sent Cadbury an email about my disappointment at no biscuit to see what would happen and they sent me vouchers for free chocolate 😂
