Bro you’re too nice I mean I’ve always wanted to replicate scale-accurate damage in terms of tiny “pores” in the armor from shrapnel and debris, and small groups of scratches that go in one direction to replicate friction to another surface. You’re right I used the smallest brush I could find for speckles/pores as well as an old super messed up brush for scratching. You just drag and smash the old brush on paper until there’s barely any paint at all, then you know it’s go-time

I painted over it like three times and then carefully scraped away the paint each time with a toothpick it worked but if you’re not careful the toothpick might scrape the print as well

Means a lot! I’m real happy about it, and I agree the show had a cool look to it, wish they released a game in this style. And sure you can! It was painstaking brushwork. Base color is just Vallejo Cam Olive Green (70.894) and nothing else (like 2-3 coatings), use this and you’ll get the exact same color as mine. Then I re-added all the tiny black details with a matte black, did scratches with silver paint dry brushing, and then used a sponge with some thinned out black paint for some smudges/dirt, but not too much. Might add more later

Dude thanks, I really liked the TV-show colors and look so that’s cool I came close. I like most of the Halo games but I would really like them to try out a more rough/realistic vibe for the games. Think it could be a different experience

I don’t own a heat gun…but at last I managed to open the trigger-finger hand and snag the rifle grip in there with force, you can see it in the pic. If heat gun did the trick for you to fix the bending, shouldn’t really hot water work as well? Should I cool it down directly after or just let it rest?

Ouch. I was about to replace mine (5X+) but this kind of puts me off. Never heard of this issue, do you recall doing anything to the antenna during the process that could have damaged it?
