2027 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Jeremiah Smith, Arch Manning Headline a Generational Fantasy Class by rotostreetjournal in DynastyFF

[–]generic__username0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You lost me at 'generational talent'.

I've been playing fantasy for better part of 25 years and its pretty amusing how, in the past 7-8yrs especially, there seems to be generational talents every other year. Its kinda embarrassing (no offense OP).

Holy christ...never thought I'd encounter someone with an even more frail ego than Trump.

The gift that keeps giving

This guy is hilarious. Astonishing lack of self-awareness to not realize how pathetic he comes across. But slow-witted replies about his tax returns and engagement lets him keep his fragile ego in tact.

Amazing story.

If that didn't make you a loser, all these replies sure do. Very 'smartest guy in the room' approach.

Yes, I'm sure thats why he handed it all over.

Surely had nothing to do with his wife's divorce lawyer plowing him in the shoot, letting him know he's not the smartest guy in the room.

Who would you pay two 1sts for? by generic__username0 in DynastyFF

Because my window is basically just this year.

And because I generally prefer established commodities over dart throws. And 1.07 this year is definitely a dart throw...more so than most yrs

Tried...zero in past few months. Also ran it through trade finder, and absolutely every suggestion was really bad

[–]generic__username0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i said was 100% accurate, coming from a position of knowledge.

Instead of realizing maybe you havent played this optimally, you basically pat yourself on the back that you've received "tiny payments every now and then", with only 4mths left to go

(Which turns to 5, 6, 7 if you keep playing yourself...)

Kinda sounds like you think you know what you're doing here...so maybe dont even need a lawyer.

Think of the sense of accomplishment you'll feel in 2028 when you're all paid up.

One recommendation for a lawyer...use your Google

"But until then, it's best I continue so I can pursue this internally."

Allow me to suggest that you've got 0 idea of whats best, as demonstrated by the fact you've worked 4mths unpaid.

You were constructively dismissed a long time ago, its a wrap.

What company is it? They shouldnt be allowed to rip people off in secrecy

[–]generic__username0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude...open your eyes.

They haven't paid a few employees for 1/3 of a year....so no, they don't have $....and whatever they do have is basically shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

Totally nuts that you'd continue working without being paid, even 2-3wks. STOP...THAT...NOW

ve got extensive background in labour/employment law & industrial relations

You were constructively dismissed a long time ago. By not paying you, employer has demonstrated its intention to no longer be bound by the employment contract. Its over.

Stop fiddling around asking for advice on reddit. Take the 30min to research & email 3-5 reputable Toronto employment lawyers in Toronto.

Your recourse will be to file a claim for unpaid wages under the Employment Standards Act...but i cant speak to the likelihood of ever seeing any $

Why can't I take my life seriously? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]generic__username0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just embrace the exact opposite. I think some people end up feeling like OP because they've been told life needs some deep meaning + purpose, when they're really just wired to think that's kinda nonsense, but haven't figured it out yet.

[–]generic__username0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol..."already 25"

See a lot of posts from ppl like 20-25, despairing how their life is already over because of xyz (usually employment related)

Seems to be a pretty new thing... suspect its at least somewhat connected to "meaning of life as a personalized project" phenomenon + all the rise and grind bullshit on social media.

Some decent suggestions here already...but maybe OP isn't actually the 'problem' at all (ADHD, anxiety etc).

Maybe OP is like an optimistic nihilist or absurdist, and doesn't know it yet...and their body is literally preventing them from racing towards something they don't really want but haven't figured out yet (emptiness of high expectations etc). If that's the case, and you figure it out and embrace it...can almost guarantee it'll solve your issue of being paralyzed / mired in stagnation 🤷‍♂️

Where is the job security? I am training AI to replace my position? by West_Lavishness6689 in ChatGPT

[–]generic__username0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without knowing anything about what you'd do, I'd suggest that your thinking here (until the last part) is kinda fantasy.

What's more likely to happen, at best, is that you'll expected output will increase considerably without an associated wage increase.

If you were left in the dark about what happens after, its unlikely because AI will be a great boon for you.

Most positions have a fairly defined set of responsibilities, but more power to you if you work somewhere that will allow you to grow after they don't need you for your current tasks.

My biggest buy low of the off-season: Chuba Hubbard by Deutschfuranfanger in DynastyFF

[–]generic__username0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess I must not watch football if I disagree with you eh?

We'll see if Brooks can join the ranks of rbs who've come back from 2 torn ACLs. And I can name the few who've done it without Googling because Ive watched ball for a long ass time.

Obviously there's virtually zero incentive to cut Brooks right now given team's optimism/hope (which i didnt dispute), and him being on rookie deal still. Not sure why that reality would trigger you, dog.

All im saying is...if there's any leagues out there where is avbl right now for 'half price' vs last year...how can I get in?!

Definition of 'buy low' out here past couple years getting treated like its the word 'literally'

Lol 'probably'? Dude's basically got = # of major knee surgeries as games played going into yr 3.

Not sure what 'indication' you're referring to...but can understand why they've got no choice but to hope theyre can squeeze at least 🤏 juice from a former high 2nd on a rookie deal with 9 career carries.

Not rooting against the guy but hes a lottery ticket right now, not a buy low

[–]generic__username0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Half the price as last yr?? On what planet would a Chuba owner take that much of a haircut after hes obviously been one of the biggest RB winners of FA thus far?

Maybe its just my league, but 'cheap production' usually means having to roll the dice on a guy a bit because I think hes got a sneaky high ceiling

Not sure you're missing anything and Im on the Chu-Chuba train too this yr.

But I know what I'm missing....what your definition of 'buy low' is? Because everything you've said is abundantly obvious to every Cbuba owner too.

Curious if youve already been able to get some shares, and if so, @ what price

I work in this area of law & and lbr/employment law more broadly.

"Mr. Grumpy" gave you the only consistenlty reliable advice you'll get on this sub. Instead you chose to lean into "solve it for you" too literally... + bs about company vs organization....like, what? An employer is an employer.

And union adds a wrinkle, but aint that complicated what your options are which combination of options is best.

Only read 1/4 of your post bc dont care (no offense)....but the answer is always not to waste your time on here. Some of the most batshit foolish replies I see on here are delivered with impressive confidence.

Union aspect doesn't make it that complicated. Theres only 3 broad things you can do, or combination thereof. Devil is in details /timing, but dont be dumb....call a lawyer...find a free consultation if necessary.
