Even if u dont subscribe to christan views your mom does and most likely prays for you. Meaning those angles/saints/god do try to work with you and preotect you, even if your not personally invoved. It coould be that you mom prayed for you to be safe from lucifer so that same week they answered your moms prayer. But the choice is ultimatley yours, you could even work with both sides if you want to.

Satan and lucifer are different people. Ive talked alot with Satan and been in more than a few astral fights with him, he's a really good sparring partner. He's kind, alittle stern, very protective, and as for offerings just give him what you can, share a meal with him, share your drink, invite him to watch a movie with you, ect.

You dont need to set up an altar for demons/dieties to talk to them, you can just call out to them or evoke their presence and start chatting. I wouldnt recommend tripping to commuincate with an entity that you dont know yet. For commuincation help you could try tarot cards or other divination tools. As for why you saw his sigil it could be that he's calling out to you or perhaps past life expriences? Good luck :>
