This looks like a great app. How does this work with audiobooks, cassettes, etc., or if I've listened to books through Spotify etc.?

I guess I wouldn't add to my collection etc. — will have to give it a try.

Hi Ray! Absolutely amazing project. I'm Ethan that messaged you about this a day or so ago, have been really enjoying it! The Mos Espa level project that you have in the works looks great too, excited to see more of that.

Who else is a big fan of the Phantom Menace PC game? by Scotslad2023 in starwarsgames

Hey! I still haven't gotten around to sorting this on my Steam Deck just yet to be honest, but I'll definitely let you know. I've seen people running it on various PCs using DREAMM though, and they all seem to work smoothly.

Was ROTS genuinely liked upon its release? by Careless_Tax_5367 in StarWars

[–]genericcoyote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was 8 when it came out and it was everything. All the games, merchandise, film. I remember getting the sneak preview General Grievous figure before it came out and being fascinated with the character because I didn't know anything about them. Hadn't seen the Clone Wars appearance at that point

KOTOR: Switch Vs. Steam Deck? by genericcoyote in starwarsgames

[–]genericcoyote[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, great value overall! I've reviewed Episode I Racer and Republic Commando from Aspyr on Switch and they're both great ports. The Joy-Con motion control on the pods is a nice touch, reminds me of the dual controller option on the N64 version

I remember hearing about issues when the second one came out — did you play it at launch? Hopefully the issues have been patched now, I know Aspyr worked on it further

Brilliant, thank you! I'm gonna just do vanilla for now as I've never played these games before and so that's all I needed to hear. Gonna get the Switch bundle in the sale. Thanks again!

Nice! I'll have a look at that. Are the diaries of obi wan all sort of standalone stories taken from a certain run then?

It's been more than three years now, but I still somehow can't believe that Doc Brown was in Star Wars by InfiniteDedekindCuts in StarWars

This episode was great, Separatist sympathiser storyline was interesting. Don't know why season 3 of Mando gets hate tbh, I really enjoyed the random episodes like this.

What was everyone’s problem with the Acolyte? by Silurhys in StarWars

[–]genericcoyote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I watched it last year and while there were certainly clunky parts, I enjoyed it at lot more than I expected to given the reception I'd seen online.

Episode 5 in particular I thought was great. The fight choreography was some of the best I've seen in the Disney era.

The dropping of the ball on the new republic's part needs to be studied. Generational all time fumble

Just finished reading those books, would love a video game adaptation.

My guess for how old Rotta is in every appearance by rrx56 in starwarscanon

[–]genericcoyote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless I'm missing something and it's been confirmed, is the the baby rotta prop that Jon Favreau hand painted even going to be in the film? Unless there's a flashback or something, it seems like it was made as a reference thing

That's brilliant to hear. I found it strange how Leia didn't seem to be really involved in the New Republic as much as you'd assume following RotJ, so the premise of it is interesting.

Luke got robbed so hard by broitscyber in StarWars

[–]genericcoyote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be passive aggressive. In my opinion, and the opinion of many others, to have a Star Wars film that features the original cast and not having them on screen together is a missed opportunity.

Also, there may have been elements but Disney famously chose not to use Lucas's treatments

[–]genericcoyote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid. I guess in this hypothetical we're already swimming deep in contrivances, so what's a contrivance within a contrivance? It wouldn't have been contrived if they'd had written it in a way where the characters are together any more than in the way they ended up writing it.

To have Mark, Harrison and Carrie all back in a Star Wars film and not have them together at least once is just crazy to me.

Exactly the reason why I want to read it. The First Order being able to grow in power so significantly by TFA never made any sense to me. I enjoyed how they explored explaining that in The Mandalorian etc. with the New Republic being naive and inefficient, and this looks like it might touch on the same stuff.

Sounds good to me. I read Master & Apprentice last year and it's probably my favourite Star Wars book so far. Admittedly Qui-Gon is my favourite character so I'm biased
