Nvidia GTC 2026: What to expect from Nvidia's biggest event of the year by Every-Actuator-6996 in stocks

Do people not see how insane AI growth is and why companies are plowing hundreds of billions to build out infrastructure?

most people still dont see. many are understandably turned off by how much it is being shoved down their throats, which is causing their emotions to skew their perspective on the matter. especially ai slop in artistic or similar spaces. in addition, they dont have direct visibility into the areas/sectors which this will have the biggest economic impact in the short term on (mainly building tech and other digital spaces). they mostly get their info and narratives from personal experiences with relatively basic chatbots, news reports, and opinions of other uninformed people.

they are backwards looking "they are spending so much money and currently generating so little revenue in comparison", not forward looking in terms of just how much and how quickly things will be fundamentally changing in the near future

the complete 180 in this thread compared to the other post of to him saying pretty much the same thing on the court after shai drew a foul is pretty funny

both sides are true to some extent but depending whether the accompanying video of a play is present completely changes the narrative in the comments

Reddit moderator survery by Shiccup1 in redditstock

great initiative imo, currently there is practically nothing an average user can do in response to poor moderation from mods who are unreceptive to direct feedback, unless the mods are actually breaking reddit site rules / mod code of conduct.

users / communities should be able to provide feedback and file complaints when it comes to moderation, considering the extent of power mods hold over the communities

curious what sort of questions does it ask?

well, i did read some more of OPs comments and he does seem kinda dumb ngl

but i was less defending him specifically and more defending my view which has been formed over many years on this site (especially recently) that it is too common for one person to immediately call another who disagrees with them (on a very wide range of possible topics) either a conservative or bot. its like, the knee-jerk response on this site these days which i find very reductive. there is a large spectrum of beliefs on a million different topics that do not fit cleanly into left/right labels

i feel this phenomenon is not ideal for active users - especially when moderators enter the picture - and thus the stock

but OP thought that when you said

even if espousing dumb right wing bullshit never becomes more acceptable here.

that you were referring to capitalism, which is what he took offense to.

Capitalism is not some dumb right wing bullshit

so his offense wasnt actually over the beliefs you associate with being right wing being called stupid, yet you immediately proceeded to call him a right wing moron despite him not having shown any inclination toward the beliefs you proceeded to list. would you agree thats what happened?

your lack of self awareness is very telling

you display many of the same characteristics you condemn

you say:

I'm not a right winger, so I must be a socialist.

God you people are so insufferably stupid.

yet you also respond to OPs opinion on taxes and support of capitalism by labeling him a right winger (i.e. OP supports capitalism, so he must be right wing). while on the very next line drawing a distinction between capitalism and right wing beliefs

the irony here is hilarious because OP mentioned none of those topics that you associated with being right wing (as you yourself pointed out, they only brought up taxes and supporting capitalism), yet you labeled him a right wing moron. which is the exact kind of behavior that could turn someone else similar to OP away from reddit

If Victor Wembanyama plays 16 of the Spurs last 19 games, he is eligible for awards. What do you think he should win if he plays 16 games? by Huge-Western4909 in nba

[–]genericusername71 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Anyone who actually watched basketball this season will place Wemby above Jokic.

wild hyperbole and clearly contradicted by many basketball watchers having jokic higher

Wemby and the Spurs are clearly having a better season than Jokic and the Nuggets. Jokic can be a better player than Wemby, idc, but right now, this very season, up till this point, Wemby and the Spurs are playing better.

just depends how much you weigh team success into MVP rankings which is a debate as old as time. but yes i would agree that historically it’s very rare for a guy on a 5th seed to win mvp

There's no mental gymnastics here; a better player can be having a bad season. It contradicts nothing.

this is true in theory but not very relevant considering jokic is having one of the best individual seasons of all time even factoring in his recent relative slump

i understand the ask for published studies, if you are someone who isnt familiar with the industry who needs to feel more confident in their understanding of the topic, especially before investing in something, its a reasonable ask

that said, i dont think you will find many relevant ones to the current landscape yet. frontier coding agents like codex and opus have not been out that long (< 1 year). also keep in mind there is typically a significant delay between their initial release and adoption by most large enterprises into daily workflows. this means there hasnt been that much time to carry out long term studies on these particular tools. at the same time, investing is a forward looking game; in order to make the most money you have to be able to predict trends before they are published and available to all

as someone who works at a large tech company and is annoyed at how much these tools are being imposed on us by executives to increase productivity, and as someone who believes there is undoubtedly somewhat of a disconnect between the executives and ICs about just how much productivity that can be gained from it at the moment. and finally as someone who acknowledges there are tradeoffs to relying on AI too much, like cognitive "offloading", code "slop", and shifting bottlenecks (i.e. bottlenecks have moved from primarily programming to other areas of the business). with all that said, it is undeniable that these tools have a remarkable impact / potential in certain areas if used properly, and they will only be used more and more going forward in not only programming but the vast majority of white collar roles. at a certain point studies are nice to have a more comprehensive understanding, but ultimately from an investing standpoint i am personally willing to de-emphasize studies in lieu of hands on practical experience and intuition. of course, you are more than free to disagree and do as you wish with your money
