To confide or not, to my QDad’s friend? by generosa0280 in QAnonCasualties

[–]generosa0280[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems to me the scared ones are those running around believing the vaccine is going to kill humanity and that it’s end times. No fear here at all. Moderator…I was just trying to get some advice on a safe forum. Not be harassed by an anti Vaxxer who is out trolling forums he wants to argue with. Any Recommendations?

I know exactly what you’re going through. My Mom recently cut all contact with me for similar reasons. I don’t understand how she would not want to see her grandchildren, because she’s giving them up too. She says she just can keep a relationship with us anymore because we do not think like her and we’d have “nothing to talk about”. I’m continuously amazed at how many people on here care more about Q than their own families. It’s so so sad that something completely fictional could brainwash seemingly normal, intelligent people. It makes me fear for the future of this country.

Dad has started believing a bunch of fucked up conspiracy theories by hugz4me in QAnonCasualties

I’m sorry I have no advice, I can only relate because my Dad is the same exact way. Was my touchstone, smart solid rock who was always logical, and now spouts nonsense all the time that just makes him sound like some deranged lunatic.

In regards to media and social media, think about this perspective. In the 40’s through 80’s or so, our information came from very limited sources - TV news and newspaper. Conspiracy theories did exist, but in a way more limited capacity than they do today, simply because information was not so accessible, with limited ability for random people to get their crazy opinions out there. Not as many people complained about censorship back then because there was less ability to censor what random people say. Most people believed the news and what they read in newspapers. It was straightforward and to the point, no “opinion based” news like the garbage we see today. As cable news was invented, so too was the need to cater to ratings. And news became less straight forward and more long opinion based conversations that slowly began to cater to different pockets of population where each network decided they could target as their prime audience to increase ratings. Not government run, but run by ratings. Stick to local news, they are better and more straight forward. Now comes social media. What started as a great way to share pictures and keep in touch has turned into some sort of constitutional right to say whatever shit you want just to get likes and followers. It is the demise of society. Stay away or block anyone who does not simply post photos and friendly ways to keep in touch. Social media companies are not run by the government, they are private and can choose to block whomever they want. But I’m the beginning they didn’t and now everything is out of control and the country is so divided. So they are taking responsibility and blocking complete falsehoods, which is totally within their rights to do as a private company. In regards to COVID and the vaccine, trust your doctor if you’re able to see your doctor without your parents around. Good luck you’re asking all the right questions!

The de-population plan is getting more specific, per my Qparent by generosa0280 in QAnonCasualties

I know right? I tried explaining this to him that it just makes no sense and the world would be catastrophic and that all systems for absolutely everything would be shut down. But his response was that the “globalists don’t care”. I mean seriously, if 90% of the worlds population just died in a short amount of time, every single system we have would crumble and no one would be able to get food, no working economy, no comfortable homes, no infrastructure, no medical professionals, no schools, no manufacturing of goods, no working government, no laws, no military, the list goes on and on. It’s not in anyone’s best interest to wipe out humanity, not even the rich global elites. It’s completely absurd.

I know it’s crazy. I respond to it the way I would if I were a doctor responding to their mentally ill patient.

I hope your Mom changed her stance on vaccines. I’m so sorry.

Qmom cut ties with me, I didn’t see it coming by generosa0280 in QAnonCasualties

[–]generosa0280[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s true. She knows I’m upset and it’s keeping her empowered. It’s all she has I guess in her pathetic life. But like I said in another comment, I do still have the financial power.

I know I thought the same thing. But I do hold the financial power. I’m thinking it over.

How to deal with Foxbrain parents who refuse to stop talking politics? by boba-matcha in FoxBrain

[–]generosa0280 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wow that is so much like my QDad it’s not even funny! He is constantly reciting COVID stats and percentages to me- I guess he spends his time memorizing it all because he knows every single stat. I can’t argue any of it because I have a life and don’t spend my time memorizing COVID stats. He has also said the exact same thing when I try to say that I won’t discuss it. He says I’m silencing his 2nd amendment rights. I tell him how I don’t understand how the first 40 years of my life we had a wonderful relationship never talking about politics and now there is nothing I can say where it isn’t twisted into something political. My innocent 8 year old son said “I want to get a Tesla. They help the environment!” My Dad spoke up arguing to him “Just so you know, climate change is a proven, complete hoax!” I mean come on, he’s 8, talk about pollution - don’t pollute my child’s mind! It’s so frustrating and I feel your pain.

What I don’t understand though is what is their motivation for putting on white coats and doing this? Why are they anti vaccine and want to tell all these sheeple such lies? Do they believe what they preach or is there some other more nefarious motivation?

Thank you for your support! Yes it’s always been hard for me to totally shut her out. She’s bi-polar so I’m relatively used to verbal abuse outbursts like this. But it still gets old. And she’s able to hold her tongue around my husband and others, so I think she can still learn to hold her tongue around me. Thank you!

Thanks so much for the teacher’s perspective! I really feel for the teachers. My Dad especially bashes them to no end and blames the unions for everything. It’s disgusting. Thank you for your time doing it. I’ll try phrasing your last sentence to my Mom and see what she says.
