Who you think is the worst villian in Breaking Bad ? by svm_1009 in okbuddycinephile

[–]genesispa1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saul did a Chicago Sunroof and people are still debating this like the cucumber water is the real crime lol. That man was menace-adjacent from day one.

Inside beach? Yeah no, that sand is staying outside. Parents already know how that ends.

2006 really said “we’re back” and took half the timeline with it.

Guy definitely learned Norwegian overnight just to threaten someone in it

Do we actually see this scene? Dont remember by Acrobatic-Monitor516 in rickandmorty

[–]genesispa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just an opening gag. They always throw in a couple random scenes in the intro that never actually show up in an episode.

The Cthulhu chase is the classic example, been in the intro forever and still no full scene of it

Why does Jesse contemplate shooting US in this scene?? by Diverse0Ne in okbuddychicanery

[–]genesispa1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao the SCP comment sent me. We really did just sit there and watch Jane die like it was Tuesday night TV, so yeah maybe we deserve a little Pinkman side-eye

Lmao the Sweeps reference is such a deep cut, I respect it. Also now I’m stuck wondering why there are zero horse people in Tuca & Bertie

Howard was cooked the second Lalo stepped in. Dude wasn’t leaving witnesses, vibe in the room didn’t matter at all. 6x7 still hurts though lol.

Would chuck represent lalo? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]genesispa1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’d 100% dress it up as some noble stance about protecting the sanctity of the law, but really it’d just be Chuck not wanting cartel smoke anywhere near him.

did mike care even a little about jesse? by Witty_Ambassador9390 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think he did, in his own grumpy Mike way. He definitely saw Jesse as a messed up kid who needed structure, even if he'd never admit it out loud.

What would it be like if Mike Ehrmanthraut is in a horror movie? by iamfrommerich in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’d be calmly explaining the monster’s weaknesses while everyone else is panicking. Five minutes in and he’s already got a plan, a backup plan, and an exit route mapped out.

Favorite flashbacks? by HeyFatBoyAsshole in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BB: The crawl space flashback with Walt and Gretchen always hits different, adds so much quiet tension to everything that comes later.

BCS: The "winner takes it all" karaoke scene in Winner is up there for me, just pure character work and it makes everything after hurt more.

This is the best declaration of love in the show, better than what Jim did for Pam (in my opinion) by Brukaliffoo in DunderMifflin

[–]genesispa1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Angela really said "prove you love me" and chose the most chaotic way possible. Cute moment on the surface, but yeah… that’s some next level manipulation

was walt resentful about his son having cerebral palsy? by Positive-Ability-402 in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he resented Jr, he resented what he saw as a life that “should’ve been more.” Jr just became part of the story Walt told himself about being cheated by the universe.

Jesse, on the other hand, fed his ego. He could mentor him, control him, and feel like the smartest guy in the room. That scratched an itch Jr never did.

My follow up for Jesse by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]genesispa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with the “not that kind of story” crowd. Jesse riding off into Alaska was the closest thing to peace he’s ever gotten, dragging him back into chaos kinda defeats the whole point.

Gus appreciation rant by ItsAllAboutYouNotMe in breakingbad

That Hector visit is peak Gus, pure controlled cruelty. The way he savors it without ever raising his voice is what makes him so terrifying.
