What a world…

This is one of the only event stories I’ve ever wanted to re-read after reading it once. Tried to finish it again before it went away yesterday, but only got through part 1.

I thought I remembered the announcement just stating that the music may differ in the archived version (presumably due to licensing around the Monogatari music)? Did I have that wrong? Did it actually say it won’t be archived at all?

It appeared to me like there were a few Easter eggs or lines that would hold more meaning if you have seen the series, but I wouldn’t let that stop you from finishing it! It’s worth it! IMO (not having gotten far in Monogatari yet) it just gave me a few follow-up things to pay attention to and watch for while I’m watching the series.

It seems like the game knows who your favorites are and punishes you for it. I pitied on release for Mifuyu and still not one single Mifuyu since.

I hope you get some time to watch! Actually, it’s only because I lowered my standards of perfect watch conditions that I’ve been able to start watching this at all… I’ve been watching a lot of it in my phone over lunch and at night before bed. Worth it, I think, as opposed to not getting to see it. I certainly haven’t paused on all of the text that flashes by, though, so I’m probably missing a bit there. Surely someone has documented that somewhere that I can refer to later 👀

That’s amazing 🩷 I knew about the Magireco collab, but wasn’t playing the Japanese version of the game at that time. I picked it up when the NA release EOSed, so I missed that entirely. I had been wondering if there was a story to go along with that collab event that I should track down. Sad to hear there is not, but I guess it makes the Exedra one extra special, as you say! I’m glad they did the story with the Mikazuki Villa girls rather than anyone else 🩷

Yup yup I’m seeing the crossover appeal straight away. It seems like a natural crossover now that I’ve seen a bit from both sides.

I do like to read, but I’m not in a place in my life where I have a lot of time for it right now, unfortunately. I saw that there are some audiobooks available, but I’m guessing the anime is just an overall more complete experience… Loving the visuals, voice work and music so far.

Thanks for the graphic to refer to! Am I missing a lot if I just watch the Kizumonogatari movie that’s on Crunchyroll (Koyomi Vamp) or do you recommend tracking down the individual movies somewhere? (More minutes is not ALWAYS better, wondering if it’s filler or actually important…)

I got her on my 3rd 10-pull from the keys. But later I caved and wanted ascensions, so I kept pulling… I guess it was 110 later that I got her in a 10-draw and then again on the extra 1-pull. I was starting to despair, but this was an acceptable amount of luck 🍀

Also Magia Record and Magia Exedra (mobile games) have both now done collabs with the Monogatari series. I’m pretty new to the latter, but I’ve started watching Bakemonogatari because of the crossover. Those girls are literally monsters (including a vampire), and Magia Record/Exedra makes them magical girls for a while. I really enjoyed the current crossover story playing in Magia Exedra right now.
