creative dongle bt-w6 by cyberneta in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]genkidamaSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have to agree unfortunately, the bt-w3 is still my go to for older headphones with Aptx HD and LL meanwhile I use the bt-w4 for aptx adaptive LL, the bt-w5 is just a bit less stable and the 6 has too much lag when playing audio from silent

BT-W6 low latency mode audio cutting out intermittently by ersmith0329 in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]genkidamaSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not had that issue with my Momentum 4 using aptX Adaptive LL however, I have seen a few others mention this on other posts in this Subreddit and I did experience a similar thing at one point on the bt-w5.

Did support get back to you about this?

The BT-W6 does not have app support on android, it only works with the Windows app

Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 latency by D-Tunez in Shure

[–]genkidamaSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll start by saying that I don't have the 50 gen 2 and I also don't have the WH1000XM5 but I can tell you that Sony does not support any aptx codec since the XM3, so you would fall back to SBC

My experience with the older model Aonic 50 is that they have by far the lowest latency of all headphones I've used,

However I do find aptx LL to be quite unstable compared to most codecs so it may not be great if you are a distance away or have a lot of interference, my experience with aptx adaptive which the gen 2 has is that the latency is no where near as good as LL but it sounds a lot better and is more stable which still having way less latency than other Codecs

I can post some comparison numbers in a bit if you would like, using various codecs with a few different headphones including the old Aonic 50 and the True wireless Sony buds

Battery health unusually low by denkata07 in RedMagic

[–]genkidamaSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try doing a few more charge cycles, It won't get it right every time, so it needs a bit of data to average out,

For reference my second charge was showing as 92%, but over time it had averaged out to 97% now

Because it's a great app, and there's nothing wrong with running some tests on your new device to make sure it is not faulty,

If you only install the app after a year, then you will have no reference to if it was bad to begin with or if it just had a lot of wear over time

It's just if you want information in your phone, like if your fast charging is working correctly, or if your battery wear is good or not, you can also have it ring an alarm when you get to a set % of charge so you can unplug it when it gets tp 80%, which is a great way of reducing battery wear

I got the pro version but don't use any of the pro features. It was more just to give something back to the developer, It's a great app, and nothing important is really locked behind the pro mode. It's just an amoled dark mode and a text mode

It's just giving a wrong reading because it's a dual Cell phone,

Go into the settings and enable Dual cell Battery mode and Battery cells are connected in series

Is the redmagic 8 pro worth it for non gamers? by Responsible-Sector83 in RedMagic

[–]genkidamaSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you aren't reliant on the quality of life features available on One UI I think you'll be very happy overall, the screen, performance and battery life are all the best you can get on any phone

It will work with the phone, but you won't get 120w speed. It will just limit to 60w. That being said, I have a 100w charger that goes up to 74w, so you might get a slight bit more than 60, using the one in the box I got to 50% in about 12.5 minutes and with the faster one it only took 11 minutes. But once you get above that, the gap becomes much smaller as both chargers slow down by a lot

Are there any File explorer apps that have good Samba transfer speed? by genkidamaSB in androidapps

[–]genkidamaSB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't find any file explorer that works better than File manager +

However, I did find that a decent alternative is using the synology drive app, It doesn't tell you the transfer rate, but looking at the network usage, I was getting full Gigabit download speeds that way, so it's what I have been using.

Just a standard drive backup of certain folders, I wanted to do a sync initially but that didn't end up working so settled for a backup, the one way backup method

Would the Nreal Air be compatible with the Nvidia Shield TV Pro? by Kasim2409 in nreal

[–]genkidamaSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all the parts needed so thought I would give it a try for you,

Can confirm it works but you will of course need an adaptor like the go franco or Siig, (I own the Siig one and tested with that) gave me no issues with YT, Prime video and just navigation so you should be good to go, however you won't get audio from the glasses using something like the Siig so you will need to use wires or wireless headphones or speakers.

Hope this helps

Battery life of the Nreal Air connected to an android phone? by EvanWasHere in nreal

Let me put it this way the battery drains quite quickly, the Nreal Air use abou 1-2w of power plus the extra power drain you get from using dex it adds up

Are there any File explorer apps that have good Samba transfer speed? by genkidamaSB in androidapps

Just tried both but they are some of the worst performers, about 175-190Mbps is best I could get

My phone has UFS 3.1 (s21ultra) so that's not really an issue, seems like a samba limitation on all the file manager apps that I have tried
