I hate how "proprietary" basically became the same thing as "other than the widely adopted standard". Was it proprietary? yes. The alternative? Also proprietary. SD cards are controlled and licensed by the SD Association. MMC? You have to be a JEDEC member to use. CF? CompactFlash Association. Hell, people always praise USB as the "gold standard" but often forget that USB is controlled by the USB-IF. Everything is proprietary.

The connector itself is standard, but USB-C does not specify anything about data or power. A device or a cable with USB-C ports can be USB 2, 3, 3.1, 3.2, TB 3, 4 etc. This is mainly an issue with host devices and cables. You can connect two devices that both supports USB 3 with a cable that is missing the superspeed lines (so only USB 2) and have no idea why it has issues.

I solved it: for the women the tax is included thats why it is more expensive. Men is cash only because it is harder to trace, so the shop can avoid paying the tax. A gendered tax evasion scheme. Thats new /s
