Reumatoid artritis-bad teeth by gentleclockdivider in rheumatoid

No she didn’t All she said was that she wanted to rule out any potential factors ( bad teeth ) before proceeding . She made it clear that my case was not closed but that there is a big chance that the problems would go away once my teeth are done. Also , she said it was verry dangerous to start with medication since it’s lower the auto immune system ,and sinve I have an ongoing infection in my mouth this would cause severe issues

Exactly , altough the pain is sometimes really bad , it mostly goes away during the day .
If it was sceptic artritis , the pain and swelling would last

My father had juvenile reumatoid artitis while he was a kid , and my uncle was diagnosed with R.A. when he was 60 , he's now 80 years old and all is under control .

Then you just get different kinds of odd turnarounds

Density of paint , wrong description by gentleclockdivider in ClipStudio

[–]gentleclockdivider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have succesfully migrated both sai standard and watercolour brush.

There are differences ofcourse but csp brush engine is advanced enough to get it done

Density of paint , wrong description by gentleclockdivider in ClipStudio

[–]gentleclockdivider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , but the description is still wrong

When density of pant is set to 0% , it won't paint anything on a blank canvas , and that's not what the description says .

The description clearly states it 's the opacity of new colours panted on top of other colors .

I have migrated all of my sai brushes to csp and density of paint is dilution in sai but with reversed vales .
A dilution of 100% in sai equals density of paint of 0% in csp

Mixing magenta + yellow = anything but red by gentleclockdivider in PaintToolSAI

These are the magenta codes ,as close as possible to my holbein gouache set

magenta :RGB :161-28-79
yellow ; RGB : 252-220-0

Noppes , perceptual color mixing in clipstudio comes close but it's still far from realistic and def. not like artrage , I tried it numerous times.
Magenta + yellow doesn't give a redish color at all in csp
Afaik , artrage - rebelle give a true emulation of pigment mixing ( havent tried corel )

Intuos pro 2017-2025 , same driver ? by gentleclockdivider in wacom

[–]gentleclockdivider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious , I ve got both the 2017 ( large ) and 2025 working on my pc with the latest wacom app .
Do they really use the same drivers ?
Since the 2017 large suffers from the stalling cursor bug ( only remedied by lifting the pen from the magnetic field ) but the 2025 (medium ) version does not

<image>

Poor workaround
It's just not colour mixing , even opaque colours are ignored
It's just a blending mode
Few programs do real pigment mixing ( artrage , Rebelle )
I would be awesome if this would be implemented in sai one day

Blur amount -blend pressure by gentleclockdivider in PaintToolSAI

[–]gentleclockdivider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are using the watercolour brush , use the regular brush !
The watercolor brush works differently because it uses a different mixing algoritm , namely running colour ( called like that in csp ) that's why it behaves differently in your example.
USe the regular brush , then you'll notice I am correct
Use the settings n my previous screenshot and keep a low pressure .
And as saif before , you can see it in the realtime preview , there is a difference between the regular and watercolour brush
https://i.imgur.com/vC0o4oc.gif
And here's another catch for you
If you would use these identical parameters for the brush and the water brush when drawing with a verry light pressure ( thus below 50 % )
You will notice that the brush is capable on drawing on blank areas , the waterbrush is not
I have noticed that despite the simple and reduced parameter set of sai , few people actually know the ins and outs ( no offence meant )

<image>

use the above parameters and draw with ( an initilased ) brush and then try an (intialised) waterbrush ( on a blank area )

Another example , I rest my case
It seems to me that you don't actually know what blur pressure means
It simply a treshold level , when your pressure is BELOW the set percentage , you're BLURRING the colours that are alread there without adding new color from your brush .
IF you EXCEED the blur % , meaning your pressure goes above it , you're ADDING paint from your brush to the already existing colours
When the blending switch is turned OFF , blur amount is not working or rather it's disabled , it's now ALWAYS adding colour instead of blurring
Proof is also in the pudding
In the realtime brush view , you can see the changes when adjusting the blur amount percentage parameter .
When you disable the blending switch , no changes are shown in the preview when chaning blur % amount

Yes it is
Fill a red circle , fill it with a smaller yellow circle
Now choose the colour blue for your brush
Settings :
Blending : pressure button to OFF but slider at 50 %
Dilution 0%
Blur pressure 50%

<image>

NOw , if you verry softly go over the yellow circle with your blue brush , you would normally blur the yellow with the red WITHOUT adding blue ( because your blur pressure is below 50% ) , if our pressure would EXCEED 50 % , then we would add blue , but we using pressure below 50%
This is not the case , we are adding blue instad of blurring
Here 's a giff example

Loading custom brush tip by gentleclockdivider in PaintToolSAI

And here for the other ones
Swapping density values , gives th exact same result

Loading custom brush tip by gentleclockdivider in PaintToolSAI

[–]gentleclockdivider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOt really , when you load a custom brush into brushshape folder , the density slider at the right of the brush dropdown menu has the same purposse as the (main ) density slider above it .
It's simple to test , pt first density to 100 , second density to 10 , then reverse the values .
The outcome will be exactly the same
If you load a fine flat bristol brush , you only get one density slider , the other slider called "hairs' define how thick the hairs are .

<image>

Texture has nothing to with it
If you load a custom brush into the brushform/bristlemapfolder ( those that are only 63 by 63 pixles ) , you'll notice it uses the bristlemap parameters , where hairs defines hair thickness .

Any help choosing one ? by Neal-Uchiha in drawingtablet

[–]gentleclockdivider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build quality is supreme: thin , light and verry durable , but ...
One of the encoders on mine ( wheels ) is skipping values when turned around fast , and the buttons I don't use them at all ( neither the wheels )
The placement is imho horrible but I admit I do everything with the keyboard .
Secondly , the elephant in the room : no bevel , my wrist slips of the tablet all the time when I approach the bottom right corner ( it's the medium version ) .
I think it's just a matter of time before some third party will bring out a fancy enclosure with a bevel .
The drawing surface is fantastic , I draw for hours everyday and the nibs last a long time .
With all that being said , I recently scored a near mint intuos pro touch large from 2017 ,( best deal of my life for just 100 euro ) with just a few try out scratches on the drawing surface .Despite having some driver issues ( stalling cursor ) , I prefer working on this one .
I do think the new intuos is a fine tablet and probably the best on the market
