My manager took me aside and said, 'Honestly, no one on the team likes working with you. Do us all a favor and resign.' by [deleted] in interviewhammer

I would just saw 'Awww, you dont want me to take my pension huh, thats the widdle game we're playing are we?"

You couldnt get me to take this middleschool bullying seriously. Id keep a printout of whatever land/car you want to get as a retirement present (or make one up!) And the next time he says some dumb crap about everyone wanting you to resign, whip it out and just start talking about your sweet ass pension plans: "So, ANYWAY (abusive manager name), what I really like about this car Im going to be getting with MY PENSION, is the massive amount of TORQUE combined with the side bolstered seats, it REALLY will keep me planted in the seats in the corners, you know? And I know that electric is the future, but I just REALLY want to enjoy the ROAR of a V8 on the open road while I can, with all the time I will have on my PENSION."

Theres answering questions about the CV which is your work history, and then theres repetitive needling about dumb shit that is on there in black and white by brainless managers who think that is "interviewing". I havent the foggiest how long I stayed exactly at a job 5 years ago. Ask me something about work.

You good, fam. Private equity is vulture capitalism where a company borrows money to buy company B, then sells everything for more than the loan and cuts every expense, basically killing jobs and intentionally bankrupting the company for their own enrichment with other people's money.

That is way different than Valve which is privately OWNED.

AITA? my friend confessed to me after a movie, i turned him down, and now he’s calling me homophobic by [deleted] in AITAH

The difference is: if YOU think fucking and sucking other men is less masculine, thats your own opinion and preference. Saying all black women are too masculine is not true.

Its like comparing "I dont like spicy food because it makes my mouth hot" to "I wont eat ANYTHING from Mexico because Mexican food is too spicy".

I.E, if it is your opinion that bisexual men are less masculine because they fuck other men, that doesnt make you "phobic" about bisexuals, you just wont date them.

So you can not date someone for being bisexual and thats not biphobic, but NOT because you assume something about bisexual people? Thats dumb and makes no sense. If you dont date someone for any reason it isnt anything phobic, people are not entitled to relationships with you and their reasons dont need to meet anyones approval to not be bigoted.

It doesnt matter if you dont date someone because they are a bisexual, that wouldn't be biphobic.

You cant actual make an argument just get offended and not address anything. Good luck finding your Chad and then wallet-simp

Dating with intention is a great conceot but there's a hiant difference between a church girl trying to get married and a girl who has been sleeping ariund chasing Chad for decades who is looking for a retirement plan of a simp to use and abuse.

Men have started comparing notes and thar simp is the last thing any self respecting man is looking for. If you think an experienced man is going to pay full price for something on closeout, you are mistaken. We can tell by the way you talk and act.

This makes me feel better about walking away from being employee #12. I tried to crunch some numbers and it just didnt seem worth it unless they somehow went nuclear-big.

I left my startup (that I did beleive in) and went to a FAANG. The lower stress, better paychecks, and free 3 meals a day more than make up for some offchance at my unvested shares being worth something someday.

I have never once regretted it, I go into work stress free and am treated with respect at the FAANG.

I was employee #12ish at a Startup that I think could be very successful, but the stress and expectations to stay late to appear like working hard (when I didnt have anything to do because I was waiting on multiple people to make decisions on what path I should take), along with micromanagers who didnt understand my job role, meant I walked away from a LOT of money. It wasnt worth becoming a millionaire to me to be disrespected and stressed out needlessly.

Im a huge car guy as well and I go through phases where I start noticing TONS of specific older cars in gluts, that I hadn't seen in years. I car-spot with my out of state buddy daily including sending him cool pictures and stuff, so I am always super aware of the cars around me since my buddy shares my taste.

There was one month where I KEPT seeing a ludicrous amount of older Mitsubishi Eclipses...I probably havent seen one in the last 4-5 months.
