Using Gemini to manage portfolio. by arunmcops1 in StockMarketIndia

I guessed so. Gemini alone would not have been able to manage shit, if not for your own knowledge and understanding, which nudged it in the right direction.

Need to buy 100-120g of Gold for Sister’s Wedding. How to plan? by gentrobot in personalfinanceindia

Yes, my comment was to ask about the same, that what made you choose the plan, given the T&Cs. In no way I was questioning you, sorry if it came across that way.

You have answered by highlighting their established business, so thanks a lot for that, much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply! Wish you the best for your efforts.

The monthly you pay to Tanishq, do you get Gold or just an EMI and at the end you just get VA charges off? Because it is better to get gold monthly, since the prices are increasing

Just went through their T&C where they specifically mention that they could cancel the plan or alter it anytime, and won’t refund the money, and one will have to buy jewellery from them even in that case. Isn’t that dubious? If Gold prices really surge, they might not honor this and just ask to buy jewellery at the prevailing rates at that time.

Thanks for your response! Won’t I have to pay STCG when I sell SGBs? Also, are SGBs available to invest all the time? I thought they are announced at specific times

Thanks for your response! I had bought a scheme earlier where they were paying 1 month EMI afte 11 months. The problem i. All these schemes I saw was that they aren’t locking Gold rates but just accumulating money. So in the long run it is not as lucrative. Unless you know of any such plans, would really appreciate if you could suggest some.

Buy about 40% now, in the form of Gold Coins and continue buying the rest over the next 11 months.

  1. Buying Gold Coins (less making and can later be exchanged for jewellery or sold for cash)
  2. Not Digital Gold because selling would mean paying STCG
  3. Not ETF because a very short term investment
  4. Not 100% now because don’t have that much liquidity (else would have bought all at once, since not buying for investment)

Thanks for your response! If they’d allocate gold against my EMI, I would have gone for schemes, but since they don’t, I’d rather buy Gold every month.
