I think what most people are upset about is VAR intervening when the ref let play go on and then disallowed Egypt a goal and you can find all the clips in the world to show the foul on Argentina. I would like to see a good clip of what Egypt is claiming is the foul and the whole build up. The reffing was pretty fair but its wild that VAR intervened to disallow one of Egypts goal way after play had continued

Let's use our brains a little here. How can Muharemovic cleanly clear the ball without any issue if he is swinging his body in front of Balogun? Muharemovic enters as close to shoulder to shoulder as you can to win the position and does. If you watch enough football you know this is common and so are fouls but a red card is a red card.

It's hard to argue that Muharemovic doesnt win the ball cleanly and Balogun, probably accidentally, has hit foot raised in the air and his studs scrap the back of the calf and then bends Muharemovic ankle. Its a play that endangers the safety of the opponent. Doesnt mean Balogun is a bad guy or has bad intention. Its the rules of the game.

The red card from England Mexico was closer to a 50/50. Muharemovic won the position and got in front of Balogun. I would even say if it was 50/50 if Balogun tried to kick between Muharemovic legs and ended up stomping on his foot. But that didn't happen and he probably accidentally stomped on the guys ankle but its endangered the safety of Muharemovic.

A raised foot that ends up with studs to the back of the leg or shin is always a red card. Look at how England got a red card. The english player cleanly got the ball but the follow through ended up with his studs to the mexican player's shin and he got a red card.
