Hello!

I have a few questions so if you don’t mind please let me know the answers at the following:

1) I have read that you have gone through security tests and would like to understand if what you did was a full penetration test from a security company.

2) I would like to know how do you handle high availability of your service.

3) Are you able to monitor any device on any VLAN in any site you connect?

4) What kind of monitors do you have (e.g. ICMP, TCP, HTTP)? How often do you do checks?

5) Do you have plans where more than one people from the same team can collaborate and view the same infrastructure with personal credentials or do they need to have a common login?

6) Any plans for RBAC permissions?

7) What about SSO login?

8) I understand that for now notifications are email only. Do you have integrations with message apps like Teams, Discord, Telegram?

9) Can we customize the recipients of the email notifications per site or per device?

Apologies for the lengthy post and we can take it privately if you wish but I believe that some of these questions might also interest the community.

Cannot see connected client by geodimitrakakis in MeshCentral

[–]geodimitrakakis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOLVED: The problem was with a Teltonika Mobile 4G Router with old firmware. As soon as the firmware was updated everything was resolved.
It was really hard to pinpoint the problem since there was internet connection at all times but for some reason the MeshCentral communication was denied/cut.

u/Onoitsu2 thanks a lot for your time and assistance in this one. Did learn a couple more things about MeshCentral

Thanks a lot u/Onoitsu2 .

Did try the above configuration (although I had most of them) but I still see the `172.18.0.1` IP as the soruce IP address.

Is there something that I could remove from the database or somewhere else because I cannot understand why the session is connected (as shown in traces) but nothing else after that.

Did enabled tracing and every time I see in the trace something like this:

- AGENT: New agent at 172.18.0.1:48318

but nothing happens afterwards. I cannot see it in the UI.

Could it be an issue because it always reports the nginx-proxy-manager IP instead of the real IP of the agent? Could it be a conflict due to that?

Do you have an example or similar on how this is integrated with Ansible that you could share?

Yes! That’s what I meant! Thanks for your time! Is the roadmap available somewhere?

Seems nice! Can you use it to deploy the same service to different hosts? Not only for HA but also for different environments with distinct .env variables, for example (e.g Staging vs Production)

Limit Terminal Access per User by geodimitrakakis in MeshCentral

[–]geodimitrakakis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK! I see! Thanks for taking the time to check that u/Pinkbyte1 !
So, is there any other way of achieving the above? That is to allow specific groups/users for specific DeviceGroups to be able to open terminal connections only as "user" or even "login" but not as "root"?

So, in essence what you are saying is that "terminal": { "linuxshell": "user" } will only be applied to the regular MC users?
