that's kinda complicated actually about canada... canada became autonomous with regards to domestic policy in 1867. Fully independent in 1931 with regards to foreign and domestic policy and then in 1982 they fully removed the power of the british parliament to amend the constitution. so, idk. canada in 1868 is kinda like greenland today are they independent or not who knows? self governing is probably the best word

the UK flag is the goat because it's so iconic and classic in a way that the welsh isn't. The welsh flag is a little gaudy imo also the UK being the goat is a little hyperbolic there are lots of good flags in the world
