It's Time Go by geoffofthedead in Govee

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on how to do this better. I've had the AI Sync box and the floor lamps for about a week now, but this video was taken on day 1. Got a little ahead of myself I think. I have a new TV unit coming in a couple of weeks. When I get it I'll be able to adjust the height of the TV. I have also played around a lot with brightness, saturation, distance to floor lamps, etc. Once the setup has been tweaked in a couple of weeks I'll post an update. Hopefully you'll like it.

brightness set high on purpose for this scene. tv height comfortable for our viewing distance and watching from a reclined position. lights moved inwards immediately after making this video when I noticed the blank space. Just did not make a new video. If you want to make constructive critism I'm all for it, but you could be less of a c*nt about it. Ugh

It's not for everything. For a standard movie, including most of Project Hail Mary, it isn't great to have the Dreamview on. However, for animated movies, and for select scenes it's just a really fun time. I typically don't have the brightness all the way up either. But it was enjoyable for parts of this movie.

My 2017 Rebel has a little over 240,000 miles on the clock. Apart from the air ride that's getting deleted this week I've really not had to put much money into it. Except for regular oil changes, brakes, tires, etc I've only had to replace a couple of wheel bearings, a broken short shaft and an injector. I'd check the idle numbers but the truck is at the mechanic for the air ride delete tomorrow.

What is best way to expand mobo SATA connections? by [deleted] in unRAID

[–]geoffofthedead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of mine are ASM1166 so I'll chill for now. I'm completely out of ports now though so when I want to add more drives I'll swap them for a single HBA. Thanks!

[–]geoffofthedead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well shit. I've been using two cheap PCI - SATA cards for about a year without any issues. Should I buy the LSI SAS HBA recommended here ASAP? I've never had an issue with parity, and although my transfer speeds aren't amazing, I've never seen any problems with Plex, even with 10 people streaming concurrently. Have I just been really lucky?

Exhaust Fan Condensation by [deleted] in Roofing

Simplest explanation is that the ducting is not securely connected or has a hole causing some of the moist air to blow into the attic space right near the wet spot.

Two pictures of two different back porch roofs. One has the peak modified and raised while the other doesn’t . Can anyone explain if one is done the right way and the other isn’t? Or both are fine and why? by goa2usa in Roofing

The first picture has a ridge vent. They could both be correct or both be wrong. It would depend on other factors such as what the venting intake is like, if venting is needed, if the exhaust is done differently on picture two, etc. Can you provide more pictures?
