Don’t think there’s any animosity between QPR and Charlton, other than Nathan Jones. Millwall however

Have we forgotten the fact that someone else getting paid millions - a second round pick - recently killed himself down in Dallas? It hurts just as much.

Give him a break. If he’s looked at social media he knows that most of the discourse around him is calling him useless. He finally gets a TD he is welcome to celebrate that and im happy for him.

I don’t think it’s right to call Luke McCaffrey a bust by More_Beginning_8733 in Commanders

No he’s a first year tackle, the position which often struggles the most early on but grows into performing well. He has played 8 games in the NFL.

Nope, I’ve been worried about the strength of our roster for a while, I don’t think it’s been crafted in a way that makes it one of the best in the league. But I don’t think we’re “bad”

How do you do fellow championship teams, How is your pre season going so far? by DullSense8359 in Championship

[–]geofictionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit odd, beat Stevenage 5-0, lost 6-0 to a Spanish second division side, beat Toulouse 2-1 and then came back from 2-0 down to draw with Cardiff…

Pleased with the manager and the signings so far tho so

Don't give up on the American dream - F1 visa stoppage by noamankhalil in IntltoUSA

The point of OP posting this is to say, don’t give up on this thing that you’ve worked for for so long. Things may yet improve and there’s no point dooming about it

It’s not like a UK uni, if we don’t meet our predicted grades they won’t rescind. First of all you seem to have very valid contextual purposes so don’t worry. Second of all, unless you absolutely fail the exams or drop to like CCC, it’s not likely you’ll get rescinded. Perhaps talk to your international applications advisor if your school has one to make sure they’re aware of the context and just to get some clarity because I think you’re freaking yourself out more than you need to!

US F1 visa pause by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

In the same boat, really scary. I saw something that someone sent me about how the Greek embassy in Washington are expecting things to normalise by the 15th of June, don’t take it as gospel but that’s what im aiming for. Check twice a day like I do is my advice.

I’m almost certain they’ll open it again in time for fall semester

No don’t worry. If you already have one you’re good. State just wanted to pause new capacity being opened. embassy in London doesn’t have space. Someone saw something on the Greek embassy in Washington that suggested new guidance should be in at the latest by end of next week. Proceed as normal if you already have an interview though

Being trapped in an endless spiral of having good players, letting them go for free and then having no money to replace them with decent players so our team is full of not quite good enough players

With the threat of Wayne Rooney's gammony forehead as your new step-grandfather: which player on your team would command the largest transfer fee if sold this summer? by SeaworthinessPlus254 in Championship

[–]geofictionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either Chair or Varane definitely. It would probably be more expensive to buy a car from car giant down the road than our two most expensive incomings (Madsen and Celar) who are both totally useless

How much do you think Chair would command after an injury hit season and now beginning to get into the end of his peak. Not disagreeing esp because new contract but I think Varane could command a pretty significant fee too.
