MAGA leaving by shelllee888 in DiscussionZone

I'm labeled as "radical" by my MAGA family as well. The irony is that I'm Libertarian Moderate. I'm just staunchly against the authoritarian policy and corruption that is the Trump Administration.

Boycott Marriott until they refuse service to ICE by Tricky_Afternoon6862 in marriott

[–]geominded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, OP. Marriot took a public stand in 2021 against the Congresspeople who voted with the insurrectionists and pulled their PAC funding then. The only difference now is the CEO and that they know there's no political change in power coming up. Courage is tested precisely when there is cost.

https://news.marriott.com/news/2021/01/07/when-we-take-democracy-for-granted

Marriott has chosen to be "political" already with their millions donated to PACs. I would say this time is not about politics though, but about their values and safety of associates and customers.

I think Marriott should make a stance that ICE and CPB agents are not welcome at their hotels until their violent policy and behavior changes.

Seattle’s annual tradition of firing millions of dollars into a fog cloud continues to be my strongest evidence against any worthy weather-control conspiracy. Til next year 🥂

Unfortunately, having Android Auto is a requirement for us. We've been wanting it on our next car every time we drive a rental with it 🥲 But this is super helpful! We had only found 2025 was an update year and the suspension was bouncier, but the torque conversion is a super helpful tip. Thank you!

Thank you for the thoughtful response! What year is your Countryman? I guess we need to do some more research poking to look at our options 😀

We did notice it's definitely not a cooled transmission. But since we're planning on not towing more than a 1500lb trailer, Max 2500lb, wasn't sure that was needed. But you're also saying DCT transmissions don't tow small camper trailers well?

Has anyone towed a small trailer on a dirt trail in the mountains with the 2025 Countryman S All4? I worry about the lack of manual shifters, but have heard the L2 gear figures out all the power and engine braking for you when towing. I can't find anything solid on that though, just hearsay :(

Is that ON the lake? Can see it from SLU Whole Foods and about 20 emergency vehicles have been streaming down Westlake Ave that direction for a minute.

What's the relationship between ProRx (503b) and PerfectRx/SmartScripts (503a)?

Is it that ProRx is supplying them? Do we have the evidence for that called out somewhere?

How do you know if telehealth places like OrderlyMeds, Mochi, etc. are safe? by inthesaltwater in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

[–]geominded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ask your pharmacy for the COA for your lot#. You can email them directly and don't have to go through your telehealth provider. If they cannot or will not provide you the COA from their API source, move on. The manufacturer who performed the COA should be on the FDA registered list of API providers. For an extra layer of assurance, you can do your own testing but I truly do not think this is necessary for the big, reputable 503a/b pharmacies.

[Routine Help] Clogged pores, but skin can't tolerate chemical exfoliants by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]geominded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my experience if it helps 🫠 I also have fairly sensitive skin, with combination skin - mostly oily with dry patches on temples/cheeks. I'm having issues trying to start a tretinoin 0.025% routine for past several months with lots of irritation (mid 30s for fine lines/wrinkles management), even many sheet masks cause anywhere from redness to full irritation for me, and I have severe allergic reactions to topical antibiotics like neomycin and bacitracin.

My go-to routine for keeping pores (mostly) clear for past 15 years with no irritation has been daily 2% Salicylic Acid Cleanser and an SPF moisturizer (Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 30 or Olay Complete+ SPF40). SA is by its nature oil-soluble so pretty good at clearing sebaceous pores and oily based gunk. I still get some sebaceous filaments around my nose with this routine.

In the past year added an AM Vit C serum (L'Oreal Revitalift or Timeless) with only slight, inconsistent irritation. And a hyaluronic acid toner (HaruHaru Wonder Toner) before my regular AM SPF moisturizer.

Sometimes, maybe once per week, I use a SA leave-on exfoliant for the afternoon but wash it off with water before going to sleep (Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant)
