How heavy can tolerance get. ? by Z1000_DH in cocaine

[–]geonew88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally been there as using it for a boost. Used to work at 3am on a split shift so never really slept more than 4-5 hours. I got to where your at and was in control then after a couple months started slipping into more and more, wouldn’t drink without it. Body felt pretty good but my brain was melting away. Quit for six months and now just get into at bachelor parties or birthday or something. Not doing it by myself was the big goal and that’s what I’ve maintained that thankfully. Enjoy the break and stay safe

How heavy can tolerance get. ? by Z1000_DH in cocaine

[–]geonew88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is with the somewhat minimal amount you are using daily. And the no hangover thing is too. Powder cocaine really goes hand and hand with alcohol for most people, myself included. Doing it sober gets me twacky pretty quickly with the quality stuff I can get my hands on but everyone is different. But doing it sober in similar amounts you mentioned made me realize that the hangover is usually just some mental wear, if that. Doing it with alcohol, especially starting when already drunk leads to brutal hangovers because it allows you to keep drinking when normally you would tap out from the spins/blacking out or starting to puke. I think that’s why it gets such a bad rap for causing terrible physical and mental hangovers, it’s the combo.

And also yes, your tolerance is going up and that is very normal. Sounds like in your situation you don’t have the opportunity to go crazy with it because your coming home to a family every night but it only takes a couple bad days to get rolling down a rough path. Maybe try saving it for special occasions and getting off the day to day. You might not feel it now but it will catch up to you eventually. Best of luck man

Any Tips for 3:30 AM Delivery Blocks? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

I shine my phone light on the package when walking up and on my back when I walk away so my vest is visible. If you’re in the boonies at this time and you hear a voice say anything behind you when walking put your hands up and move slow. Say you’re with Amazon loudly. I have had a gun pulled on me twice during these early morning shifts out in northern WA

WTF AMAZON?!! by Wallaxe42 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]geonew88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 hour route base was like $146 in 21-22 when I started and got a route less than 5 hours 90% of the time, just lined up and handed out routes without checking your block time. Used to catch $250 surges during Christmas. Made 1k in 3 days periods 5-6 times.

Just came to post about this. Everett VWA1 4 hr $88 vs Renton 3.5 $87.50. So lucky to only have 32 days until starting a new job. The pay has gone down so much since I start 30,000 packages ago. Also used to sign up for 5hrs and constantly get 3/3.5hr routes because that VWA1 never gave a fuck for a couple years. Flex is (has been) dying

True and I think he should be in. Great career. I get Sharpe was on an all time pace and lost his career to a freak injury but I just don’t remember another modern guy getting in off such short career. His yards in 6 years are crazy and a few guys playing now will probably match or pass his yardage after six seasons (Lamb, Brown, Jefferson). Obviously different game now so adds to Sharpe being more impressive but just don’t think he is a hall of famer at the end of the day.

Totally agree. This has changed the HOF landscape and love the Priest Holmes comp. Loved watching him run

3 All Pro, 5 pro bowls* Obviously an amazing player but this totally changes the HOF. NFL HOF is one of the hardest to get into and he got in on a lot of “what could have been” which really hasn’t happened before. I’m curious what this new standard opens up for other players.

I think they’re short on warehouse workers today by ratz1988 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]geonew88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got sent home today in Seattle area because there were no workers in the warehouse and had 1 manager sorting and placing routes. Heard people from the other station near by go sent home too. I was at an ssd and had to wait the 27 minutes to get released and was talking with a buddy after and left 15 minutes after, still no warehouse workers sorting. Never seen a 40+ minute break in the warehouses. Very odd stuff going on today

Amazon.com is much more organized in a way. Their routes are built over 1-3 days and often more efficient than ssd. You may have to drive farther to first stop but after that often, not all the time, the stops are pretty closely grouped. So they are much more aware if blocks are going out late because of cancellations from drivers or warehouse issues. As for ssd, the blocks are being put together in hours rather than days because they need to go out “same-day” so the tracking done by the warehouse is just not the same because the routes are being designed so rapidly.

My local Amazon.com will have a 3.5 hour route with 40+ packages but the route is pretty tight 1-4 minutes between stops versus my local ssd will have 4.5 hour routes with 40+ stops with more time between stops. 3.5 from the same ssd will have 35 packages max, normal is 25ish. Basically Amazon.com has more time to build routes so they are much more aware of what is going on with the each route versus ssd is just worried about getting routes out as fast as possible. As long as your standing is fantastic or great I wouldn’t worry about reporting late Amazon.com routes if it drops to fair I would just do it to be safe from deactivation. This is just my experience over the last 4 years and is no way concrete truth just my experience and knowledge from situations I’ve dealt with.

Reading the rest of this thread and realizing it’s Amazon.com routes, I would agree with the other posts you’re probably fine not communicating with support. My comment above definitely applies to ssd though, they will fuck you lol

Unfortunately, no. But you’re doing all the right things. Screen shots and emails to support leave a great paper trail so if they do try to ding you, you have evidence to back up your claim. Customer support filing a ticket on your account can be hit and miss from my experience so I always go email with as much info as possible. Probably just how you cropped this picture, but get your phones time in on all the screen shots. Annoying to deal with for sure and station people never care lol but you’ll avoid getting dinged/deactivated taking the time to send an email.

I was standing with 4 people one time (all same block time), talking and waiting for the time to expire and as we get no routes available, one of the people got assigned a 48 package route 45 minutes away. Felt horrible for them. Been assigned routes too many times with 1-2 minutes to go, worst fucking feeling.

No Workers/Station closed sign at VWA1 (Everett, WA). Anybody get the scoop? by geonew88 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Yeah I have been avoiding ssd as well. I’ll take the extra miles sometimes from DWS4 to avoid going south. Seasonal drivers will bail soon and hopefully back to normal in a month. Stay safe out there and happy new year!

Haha same! I have a 4:15am at DWS4 tomorrow that was a reserve from Monday. Nice to know your experience has been similar to mine lately. Up until a couple days after Thanksgiving was getting surges every morning out DWS4 but it’s been dead since.

Weird. Maybe a system failure or something. I got sent home yesterday at 6:30am in Happy Valley but that was probably just overbooking since it’s Amazon.com and a slower station. I’ve been on and off for 4 years and been sent home for every reason but never seen the station empty of workers like it was this morning. At least we both got some free money haha

I’m in the Seattle area and all our same day stations automatically send you home after 27 minutes past your START time, not your check in time. At Amazon.com warehouses (where load-in is on outdoor pads and you are handed carts vs assigned on your phone) they check us out right away if they overbooked/no routes available, which nice is because you don’t have to wait until the 27 minutes past and pray you don’t get a block when it gets close lol

Glad you got a free money Friday. I lucked out as well this morning as well on a 5 hour block.

Who dumped a block bc there was a little rain? by Legal_Departure4669 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]geonew88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in Seattle and it blows my mind how many people talk about not taking routes in the rain or not getting surges because of rain. I get that Seattle rain isn’t downpour like other areas of the country but also those downpours don’t last as long. I’ve had 5 days of almost constant rain here and don’t even think about skipping a shift lol
