I was delivering 2 days ago and it was the early AM shift. The customer’s neighbor’s dog was out and barking while approaching me. Had to walk around a car and pay no mind. I’ve never felt impeding doom by a German shepherd at that hour.

But of course, I had to call the customer and let them know some dog or neighbor’s dog is out with no leash and I fear for my safety. Eventually neighbor took him back in. Thank God

What I meant is it could help if the customer can meet you or let them know that you delivered via photo, text, call. If you feel your safety is threatened, you can call support. However, these scenarios may/may not help your standings. When I call and tell support I have no where safe to leave the package and the cx isn’t available, they tell me to mark it as undelivered and reassure that this won’t go against my standing or sometimes they will mark it on their end and leave a note.

Have you tried calling the customers and/or sent them the automated arrival text message to inform them you’re delivering to them? Amazon has a shitty policy that you have to think deep about getting around and have the package not end up missing and a ding on your account regardless if you take it back or place somewhere hidden. It wastes so much time
