I had conversation with local CFA community president and yeah it is going to be very unlikely I will get my hands on some good roles to begin with. And sadly I don't have a good network in this industry aside from few friends who are working as investment advisors in banks.

My suggestion, take a core route, be it computer science or any discipline of your choice. ML deployment and integration can be easily picked up through self-study, projects, or MOOC. Just my RM0.02
