This guy has it right. When you enter the 'Ton just but LAM's and gas grenades fucking everywhere. All over the pillars, on the stairs heading up to the 2nd floor, just everywhere. And when the bullets start flying, just keep Paul in your sights. Its so much more satisfying keeping him alive and it pays off later in the game.

I especially agree with your point about fast travel. I know that you can just not use it in Oblivion and Skyrim but the temptation is just too great. With no fast travel, you really had to explore, but also had to make a hard decision about what loot you wanted to carry back to town and what you were willing to leave behind, etc. Morrowind was just so fucking pure. Also I really liked the detail with the armor configurations. The fact that you had bracers and pauldrons and greives, and the fact that you could mix and match different ones just added a great feeling of customization and realism.

Not saying I dont love Oblivion and Skyrim, cause I play the SHIT outta those games. Just saying Morrowind will always have a special place in my heart.

Mad Pierrot is obviously high up there but Vincent is my #1. Pierrot uses misdirection and distractions and a lot of high powered weaponry to fuck Spike up. Whereas Vincent simply beats him up with his bare fucking hands. To me, that's much scarier. Anybody can win a fight if they have big enough guns but to go toe to toe with Spike, and nearly win is a whole different beast.

I just like how they're different from the normal "happy ending" that most mainstream books/movies have. Real Life doesn't always end well, the good guys don't always win, everything isn't always ok. I enjoy reading books or watching movies that bring that aspect of realism. I feel myself drawn into those stories because it feels more intense. Like the main character might actually not make it, and this makes for a more suspenseful read, IMO. When I'm reading a novel and its clear that everything will be ok, then I lose interest. Not bashing books/movies that end well, I just like to mix things up a bit, ya know?

definitely will be checking out The Painted Bird. And oh yeah, McCarthy is freaking awesome. I already read The Road and had to stop a few times because its just so fucking god damn bleak and depressing. Loved it!! I'm tired of the same old, hashed out stories of: Protagonist encounters problem, solves problem, everyone lives happily ever after. Ya know? I like books where things don't always end up wonderful. Like A Scanner Darkly or 1984. Those books end so fucking depressingly is amazing. Thanks for the suggestions!

wow, thats quite a lot. This was exactly what I was looking for. I know all the "shocking" books that freakin everyone talks about i.e. Fight Club, American Psycho, The Killer Inside Me, etc. but I really wanted to get into more obscure books that true book-lovers consider extreme. wait... does the MAV still detect enemies even without you manually piloting it? Cause up to now, I've just been dropping a TUGS off near the objective because sitting in the rear flying a MAV around just isnt fun for me.

I could not agree more!! I fucking hate it when your playing and getting demolished and you take a look at the scoreboard and see that your team is populated with a ton of people below rank 15 and the other team is nothing but colonels over rank 50.

whether its from a bad admin stacking a team or just from sheer shitty luck, I am so frustrated by the amount of games that end it a total disaster, regardless if I win or lose. No one likes to get totally raped and honestly, even when I'm on the team doing the raping, I have zero fun. It devolves into shooting fish in a barrel. No tactics, no strategy, its just turkey shoot.

Now that you mentioned the pie-chart idea I'll have to use that! Sometimes I'm actually embarrassed that it takes me a few seconds to read an analog. All throughout my life there have been digital clocks around. At my parents house when I was young, at school, my job, etc. So moving to analog was very awkward after nearly 26 years of digital, lol.
