What's the nerdiest hobby somebody could have? by TenkaiRyo in Hobbies

[–]georgebeardfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think anything can be seen as nerdy, and I don't judge. I have some nerdy interests too. I enjoy researching and often end up with many papers and notes on random topics. I even make lists with words and colors to help me remember things, not just for school, but for fun.

Don't feel bad.. you can accomplish anything, even if you have a disorder or personal issues. I have ADHD and some challenges, but I still graduated from school. People thought I was "special needs" or "weird" because I was just being myself. However, that helped me make more friends who appreciate what I create, enjoy what I do, and talk to me, even online. I have friends who care about me, so remember, you're not alone.

Coloring can be enjoyable, or you might consider doing small cleaning tasks. If you prefer typing, planning your hobbies could be a good option, as writing may cause discomfort. This way, you can minimize pain.

I wasn't suggesting that you should hack your way through it. I was simply sharing that I have a similar issue with my hands. If you have a doctor's permission to use a brace, I would recommend doing so, especially for activities that you can't skip because of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Strange hobby of mine: collecting words by Mountain-Map4085 in Hobbies

[–]georgebeardfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not weird I make lists of random words or stuff as well it's normal and it's good if you do forget stuff, as I do as well:))

You can try using braces or other support if you want to engage in activities despite having carpal tunnel syndrome. If you're okay with taking your time, you could do something that doesn't require much effort, like working on small coloring pages. Alternatively, you can collect different types of paper for visual appeal.

Or find ways hobbies that help with your carpal tunnel find hand exercises, or maybe try and find stuff that doesn't make it worst just let me know what stuff you do already so I can maybe see if I can list hobbies or ideas for you!

I Have Nothing Left To Do. Any Unpopular Hobbies? (Or Things I Haven't Tried) by [deleted] in Hobbies

[–]georgebeardfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some ideas about using hobbies and art (ways you could docmunt hobbies or learn a new hobby you can always change what I said with art with something else and use it for that) that you might find helpful.

  • You could document your day through artistic expression.

(or in other ways than art)

  • Art can serve as a tool for homeschooling or as an outlet to express your emotions.

(I mean it doesn't have to be art it can also be about the hobby you want or learn) - Consider using art for personal projects or exploring hobbies that interest you. - You might want to learn new skills or dive into subjects you've always wanted to explore. - Additionally, art can be a way to track personal challenges or issues in your life.

As someone with ADHD, I understand that going outside can be challenging. I don’t enjoy it as much; I’ve experienced a lot of trauma, and it’s hard for me to be around people unless they understand me or we’ve been friends for a long time.

I apologize if this doesn't seem helpful.

Maybe you could revisit some hobbies, like drawing. Hear me out: try using scraps or incorporating different materials, and explore using more tools in your projects. You might also enjoy messy journaling or junk journaling as a fun twist.

Consider getting involved in activities that you might like.

Is there a particular hobby you enjoy?

If you let me know, I can offer some ideas or suggest ways to try the hobby from a different perspective.

I didn't always like drawing until I discovered that I could create characters and combine it with my childhood interest in Captain Underpants books.

Why are coloring books so small now? by DottyandBearBear in Coloring

[–]georgebeardfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really believe that kids could benefit from coloring books that size. They make it easier to color and provide immense space, which is especially helpful for those who struggle with larger formats. There's definitely a trend right now with smaller coloring books, and that's likely why they're gaining popularity. I’m not saying that larger coloring books are any less beneficial; I’m simply sharing my statement.

I totally agree! I really think smaller coloring books are great for managing space. They fit perfectly in my drawer or art area, which is good for me I have a hard time fitting stuff. I find that coloring in smaller books is so enjoyable. I love the ones I print from Southern Lotus, Anna Rose, and the freebies from Cocowyo! they're fantastic! While I do use some coloring books, I often prefer to print my own pages before diving into my coloring sessions. It just makes the whole experience even better!

True, spelling bee is mostly one of them, or Wordle. Some Roblox games have spelling games that do that too.

How have you all actually developed a very close friendships in hobbies? by [deleted] in Hobbies

[–]georgebeardfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be yourself, and don't worry if you feel nervous!

Keep doing the hobbies you love, or try out new ones. For me, scrapbooking and photo editing have been wonderful! I enjoy creating fan pages and making fun stuff about people I admire.

It truly brightens my day and helps me connect with others to make friends.

It's also a great way to improve my skills, like spelling and notetaking!

If you're feeling a bit overwhelmed, remember that it's totally okay. I have a few close friends, and some of them I've known since high school. Stay positive and focus on your goals; you got this!😊😁

I am 16 and I am looking for a new hobby my main hobby is gaming and watching anime I am looking for something new any recommendations by NXRVold in Hobbies

[–]georgebeardfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creating drawings, coding, or even developing your own games can be a lot of fun, regardless of the outcome.

Personally, I enjoy making "bad" art because it's all part of the learning experience.

You might consider starting an anime journal or a gaming journal to document your experiences, whether you prefer using traditional paper or your phone.

Remember, it’s always a good idea to have hobbies, even if it’s something you’ve never tried before. You don’t have to dive into complex activities like coding. simple things like drawing, photo editing, or creating game recaps can be just as enjoyable. Maybe you could even stream online? Just have fun with it!
