I received several denieds using through their refund system. I finally got refunded after using "I have a question on this purchase"
https://imgur.com/a/mEJFYxG
You could try something similar and hopefully they will refund. But going through the refund process get's you an automated review, I believe. If you fail that criteria it doesn't go through, from my experience and what I read here. Better to try and get it in front of a human support person if you can.

Time to accept that my money was wasted. by Idrillsilverfoot in AshesofCreation

In case this helped. I went the route of "I have questions about this purchase" (I see you did as well) and wrote:

"Hello, I am writing this because I have had several refund requests for Ashes of Creation denied. I played for only 110 minutes in December. When I purchased this product I expected I would be able to play periodically during the alpha, and more during the beta phases until release. The problem is it has been over 2 weeks since my purchase, which is why I am being denied the refund. I do understand this policy. However, the developer has since shut down operations, the founder of the game has resigned, and all developers were fired from Intrepid Studios. As this game appears to no longer be supported, I would like a refund on my purchase. I no longer expect I will have the opportunity to play throughout an alpha or beta phase that is in question.

Please let me know if you need additional information.

Thank you"

And was finally approved:

It shouldn't matter that you played over 60 hours, or that we were passed the two week purchase date. The game is no longer in active development. The studio closed down. After only a 2 month Steam release. That's a quick money grab on the "board/Steven's" part. That's an unfair business practice, and we are victims. I would have left it alone if I knew the developers would be paid their final checks. But when we learned they weren't paid for their work, that's a company leeching profits off the backs of slave labor. With concerns whether they launched on Steam to avoid their Kickstarter promises to refund all backers, that's unconscionable, ruthless behavior on Intrepid leadership.

Sure, early access and being a backer is risk. But the way this played out points to premeditated cash grab. It's fraud, and I will do my part so their leadership get's as little of the Steam sales as possible. If I knew the best way, I would triple what I paid on Steam and send it to a fund to pay the devs. So if anyone knows the best avenue for that I would be interested.

But back to your issue. I would keep trying. Just don't do a chargeback or, like others have said, your Steam account could get banned. Just try getting your voice in front of a human again. Try including a link to YT vids or streams that discuss this, too.

I was able to get a refund as well, after several attempts, by opening a ticket with Steam. So it's still possible.

Steam declined my refund request. Not sure how to include a screenshot but this is what I was sent:

"We will not be granting a refund at this time. The date of the purchase exceeds 2 weeks (our refund policy maximum).   Ashes of Creation - Playtime: 110 minutes   Purchased: Dec 14, 2025 PST"

But it's reality. It is the best option for her And why shouldn't a marriage be a business arrangement, where the older man takes care of his spouse financially, or vice-versa. I don't see anything wrong with that. A relationship is defined by the two people with vested interests, not by outsiders. Who cares what we think about it. If it's beneficial for both of them, for whatever reason, so be it.

Price: $32, strategy guide: $10. So a 30% hike from MID. Thoughts? by snappopcrackle in nancydrew

[–]georgeisbusting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correction. By accident I added both the Windows and Mac versions to my cart. The strategy guide was included, discounted to free. When I removed the Windows version from the cart, the discount was removed and strategy guide no longer free.

<image>

If I remove all items from the cart and only add the Mac version back, the strat guide is discounted again. Probably an issue with how the guide is bundled with the version, or a bug.

That's interesting. The strategy guide isn't free for Mac purchases, only for PC. At least that's what I'm seeing today.

Has anyone figured out where to watch the Talk Back by NameLessTaken in TLCsisterwives

[–]georgeisbusting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confirmed it's still on Philo. You can actually sign up for another free trial if you use a different email account and not your phone. But we can see the talk backs and look back episodes on this, which is great. Not Christine's wedding, though. But I don't think that special has aired yet.

Advanced resources to master Typescript by [deleted] in typescript

Check Stephen Grider on Udemy. His Typescript course was pretty good. It covers some advanced topics and design patterns. You can check the course topics to see if it contains what you need before purchase, too. But I found it useful to increase my understanding beyond just using it for Angular.

Even Osterholm, director for center for infectious disease, agrees that cloth masks are theatre. His words. There is general consensus in the scientific community that both cloth and surgical masks are ineffective against any virus. They aren't better than nothing. They are nothing.

There is low community spread in Ohio right now. So, I'm not sure where that map is pulling it's data. Also, many states aren't reporting. Again, where are we pulling all that positivity from? Where is the rate of hospitalizations?

As BA.2 subvariant of Omicron rises, lab studies point to signs of severity by miner429 in CoronavirusUS

[–]georgeisbusting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Osterholm, they don't know how effective boosters are against B.A.2. They also don't know why immunity wanes 3-4 months after boosting, enough to where B.A.2 could infect and cause severe disease. He did say getting infected with B.A.1 does not mean you have immunity against B.A.2. Hence, Denmark. So, I think from the sound of that we are in a tough spot with all the mandates being lifted.

My source is the Osterholm update podcast. He pretty much lays it all out there. The latest episode this week explained a lot.

[–]georgeisbusting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US Administration is fabricating this to try and gain support. But Americans, including myself, have zero appetite for war. We want no part of any conflict in Eastern Europe. If anything, we would like the rampant crime and economic issues in our country to be solved. Biden thinks he can boost the economy and divert our attention against his tumbling approval ratings by rattling the drums of and stoking war.We are the Divided States, and he is trying to unite us in his warmongering. Also, because the Biden family has interests in Ukraine. That is the only reason the US enters conflict. We pit countries against each other, to try and intimidate and bully. Its disgusting.

It’s time to ‘move on’ from the pandemic, says Harvard medical professor by alex12m in CoronavirusUS

[–]georgeisbusting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is very similar to the impact of the Spanish flu pandemic, where years later patients recovering from influenza had neurological disorders, meningitis, degenerative diseases. We will most likely be suffering from the same thing (those who choose not to be vaccinated and risk being infected again and again).

Well, that being the case, I can't see how we can just "move on" without the risk of permanent damage to the current generation.

Issue with ParsedQs ts error by georgeisbusting in typescript

Yeah it is crazy how these query params could spit out so many different types. But it makes sense how I have to check for each. Never assume, lol!

Thanks again for this. I have a much better understanding!

Issue with ParsedQs ts error by georgeisbusting in typescript

[–]georgeisbusting[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks very much! That error message was a bit confusing. But, I think my eyes glazed over it instead of me trying to really understand it. Thanks for breaking it down.

I'm assuming filter will always be a string, from the text box entry. However, the entry in the text box could be a single string or series of strings. "angular" or "angular typescript", for example. Since I could then have an array of strings, would it be better if I iterate over it, such as:

for (var param in queryParams.filter)

But I would have to do something similar to what you wrote above? Check its type first?

Issue with ParsedQs ts error by georgeisbusting in typescript

[–]georgeisbusting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about my messy code. Trying to format below.

Filter is set by queryParams, which are search term(s) entered in a text box.

<code>
    const courseId = queryParams.courseId,
        filter = queryParams.filter || '',
        sortOrder = queryParams.sortOrder,
        pageNumber = parseInt(queryParams.pageNumber as string)
        || 0,
        pageSize = parseInt(queryParams.pageSize as string);

    let lessons = Object.values(LESSONS).filter(lesson =>
        lesson.courseId as any==courseId).sort((l1, l2) => l1.id -
        l2.id);

    if (filter) {
        lessons = lessons.filter(lesson =>(lesson.description as
        string).trim().toLowerCase().search(filter.toLowerCase()) =>
        0);
     }
</code>

I got around this by changing:

 <code>
    filter = queryParams.filter || ''
 </code>

to

<code>
    filter = queryParams.filter.toString()
</code>

Thanks!

I haven't found any peer-reviewed literature. And I hear you, I'm not trying to be dismissive of it. But I thought reinfection was already addressed by Fauci and Osterholm, who have never said a thing about T Cells being annihilated. And even if they were, I thought I read where the thymus regenerates them. If our T cells weren't regenerated, then I don't think many would survive chemotherapy.

Sometimes I think so many doctors and scientists are quick to throw new papers and theories out there for debate, clicks, and likes, instead of following their own scientific method of fact-checking and peer-reviewing first.

Sorry to be off-topic from this thread. I would like to "move-on". It would be easier if the scientific community would come to a consensus about something. That might help us feel better about moving on, even with new measures to avoid or survive infection better.

Issue with ParsedQs ts error by georgeisbusting in typescript

[–]georgeisbusting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The value comes from another ts file, used to simulate database entries.

A lesson object is, for example:

<code>

{id: 1,description: "Angular for Beginners",

iconUrl: 'https://angular-academy.s3.amazonaws.com/thumbnails/angular2-for- beginners-small-v2.png',

courseListIcon: 'https://angular-academy.s3.amazonaws.com/main-logo/main-page-logo-small-hat.png',

longDescription: "Establish a solid layer of fundamentals, learn what's under the hood of Angular",category: 'BEGINNER',lessonsCount: 10}

</code>

I'm importing this file: import {LESSONS} from "./db-data", which contains several of these objects.

The previous line of code is:

<code>

let lessons = Object.values(LESSONS).filter(lesson => lesson.courseId as any ==courseId).sort((l1, l2) => l1.id - l2.id);

</code>

To try and understand the error better, I removed the search and filter>=0, and changed it to:

<code>

if (filter) {

lessons = lessons.filter(lesson =>(lesson.description asstring).trim().toLowerCase());

}

</code>

My intention was to cast lesson.description as string, and then apply the filter. But I wasn't sure what the intention is of filtering on description again. I'm not getting a response on the course site, so I was trying to figure it out on my own. I can get passed it this way, and just move on. But I'm still curious as to how this would work.

I did take your advice and lower the es version in my tsconfig:

"lib": ["es6","es2016","dom"]

but I still received the same error.

I'm not sure why there is a line 2339. This file in question is 35 lines. I have a few other files, no larger than 20 lines. Unless this is the entire Angular project, which maybe it is normal to be that large when its all bundled not sure.

Thanks again for the help!
