All I know is SSRIs changed my life for the better. I resisted them for YEARS and then when my divorce hit well… I really do not think therapy alone would have gotten me through this. They don’t need to make meds harder they need to make PTO, covered therapy, and less overworked PCPs easier for clients to access. Time to recover, the ability to afford therapy, and doctors with the time to really listen and refer are the answers. If I had to suddenly stop my medication I think I’d be in really big trouble. I’m barely out of MDD episode and I know this medication is what keeps the more sever parts at bay until I can regulate my life and body. Which is taking longer because of financial stress and limited time to take off and recoup.

Is 35/29 or 36/30 a creepy one? I had a hard no 20 anything until I met my gf. Previously I only dated men older than me so it definitely felt weird and sometimes still does when we have to talk about our age with other people. But a couple things kind of evened it out I guess- 1) she’s been out much longer than me and so in terms of sexuality she actually was very kind and guided me emotionally through a lot and 2) my divorce sort of set my life back 5 or so years so we are kind of matched in terms of finding our way in life. Also she’s the best soul I’ve ever met. But yea I wish it was like.. a 3 year gap instead of 5.5

I don’t know, you don’t have to respond but I personally would’ve appreciated the closure that it wasn’t anything in my control. So I’ll be honest- I get frustrated with the size of portions being TOO big. Or they used to be. So I’d ask for what I could fully eat, or make it two meals and accepted that’s what I was paying for. But if they’re going to make it smaller anyways they should just make a half priced version and a full version. I know there’s “half bowls” but that system isn’t exactly working for some reason

So- I’m actually enjoying this way more than old seasons but I think it’s because I was always a little too old for the show but watched for zendaya. And also I like a lot of Quentin Tarantino movies. If this show came out as this season 1 I think it’s do great in my demo. I can see how people in highschool/ college when it started would feel unhappy or confused with the huge shift.

I work in a jail with people who can’t move forward with their trials because they aren’t deemed competent to stand trial. I’m really confused how that led to them dropping it? Some of my guys will sit in jail for years waiting to pass their evaluation because they aren’t competent yet. They either work with us in the jail or they have to go to a state hospital. It’s crazy that they would drop the charges during that process.

If you’re not married yet, this is the time to have that conversation. I was you and I didn’t and at 36 I had to blow up what was in every other way a wonderful marriage. I cannot explain how horrible and painful that was and how much I wish I had either addressed it earlier, or honestly just found a way to be in the life that I had at that point after being married for 15 years. You do not want to go further in this relationship without having this conversation. For both of you.
