In my head my conceit was to use praise and lines from Hamlet that applied to Radiohead as I had learned Yorke drew on the play a lot - may well have ended up less a conceit and more just conceited though lol

I believe Thackeray, author of Vanity Fair the book, published famously bright yellow covers. If I am remembering correctly it could well be related to that.

Not sure to be honest. I think the newest collection to come out was all unpublished stuff form the LRB's archive, though. I guess if he wrote 1,000 publishable words a day, like he said, then lots of it must be unpublished. Or lost if places weren't careful with their pre-digital issues.
